Made pesto last night, a vegetable curry this arvo, as well as a balsamic reduction (pesto and balsamic for tomorrow night's entrée, and the vegie currie for one of my brothers tomorrow night, seeing as it's a barbecue and steak is decidedly non-vegetable (note, I make the curry for him, but I make it so anyone might want it. It's a nice curry...I hope.

). I'm currently waiting for Mother to arrive back from my sister's, as well as my brothers and partners to arrive this evening.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to post the piccie of yesterday's "lunch". It was toffee choux (custard cream filled) and, in the background, hot "Liquid [milk] Chocolate" (they do a dark as well). Nicest hot chocolate I've ever had, and the pastry even beat the Paris-Brest which was previously reigning champion in my personal Pastry Olympics. See attached:

Tried a (modified, because I can't leave well enough alone) recipe from Mystery Lover's Kitchen. It turned out great but made enough for a field of hungry farm hands. What on earth am I going to do with all this?

Mayhap you might consider this Pajama Suit? It's quite dignified, and perfect in the case of an emergency "meeting" in bed?

Trying to order some last minute birthday gifts for my soon-to-be 12 yr old daughter online-- a Docter Who "Whatever you do... Don't Blink" t-shirt and a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "Don't Panic" t-shirt. All day she kept popping over by me while I was on my laptop shopping and I had to keep switching the windows really quick! She actually read one of my tabs and saw "David Tennant" and asked me what I was looking at.

I kept trying to find things for her to do to keep her busy and away from my desk. By now I'm sure that she knows what I'm trying to do and just keeps nosing in to aggravate me!

Shopping used to be so much simpler when they were babies!

Too late now, but next time (note to self): Take my laptop and lock myself in the bathroom! I wish I would've thought of that sooner!
