I've been watching The Night Manager. I am now into season 2 episode 2. I'm watching it from Amazon Prime in 4K/HDR.

Watched only the Big Air @Livigno Snow Park; I don't follow that often the contests, thought the broadcasters said it's different from the X-Games' Big Air, this Olympic kick seemed thick ramping, so the same tricks on X-Games doesn't work the same in there.
As I don't watch often, I'm always impressed on how tech's pushes the quality of the streams: althought I have to say hearing the "bzzzzz" of the drones while the athletes run the tall, 50 mt slant, seems somehow "weird". But omg all the camera angles, some stop motions too, or sequence photographies... So awesome freaking tricks, some perfect stomped landings.. Not sure if available outside the country, but some full runs are in Raiplay (https://www.raiplay.it/dirette/raisport) within the cost free account (commentary isn't in english btw). Over the weekend I watched the Lucy Letby documentary on Netflix, which wasn't that good IMHO. One of the things that bugged me was that some people who were interviewed didn't want to be on screen, which is fine, but instead of blurring their faces or using an actor as stand in Netflix decided to use IA to generate the person interviewed.
I also watched the Take That documentary series. Which was fun. I was never a fan of TT when they were popular, but I do enjoy these types of documentaries, it is nostalgic. |

I watched the first three episodes of Amazon Prime's Scarpetta series. Based on the books by Patricia Cornwell (who has a cameo in the first episode). It's set at two different times, when Scarpetta first becomes the head medical examiner and works her first case. And when she returns to the job twenty years later and it looks like they got the wrong person for that crime.
Nicole Kidman plays Scarpetta, Jamie Lee Curtis plays her flaky sister and Simon Baker plays Benton Wesley. Bobby Cannavale plays older Marino and his son Jake plays the younger Marino. It's an okay series, different from the books I read (I think I read them until the mid 200s, when I kinda lost interest). It's good enough to have on when cross stitching, I'm still able to follow the story lines. Maybe it's time to restart reading the books, but then again, I have so many books and series on my list. |

I watched Small Prophets on BBC iPlayer. An enjoyable 6-part modern fantasy.

I watched a few of these. I never read the books, but I'm not sure I'll continue. Mainly because I've already seen Jamie Lee Curtis play this exact same role in The Bear. I don't need to see her reprise it.

Just watched a YouTube video of someone constructing a 13,000 pound turntable by hand. It was interesting seeing how much work went into doing it.

We went to see Project Hail Mary in the cinema tonight. We both really enjoyed it, I thought it was a good adaptation of the book. It's definitely going on my BluRay list.
