19°C and mostly cloudy. I suspect the Canada Day fireworks this evening will have some issues with low ceilings.

Just got back from a 97 F walk - actually felt cool compared to this afternoon's lethal heat (107 F) and humidity ... more to come this week

It has finally cooled down. The last couple of days have been cooler, but today it's going to be 21℃ and some light rain. It's my day off, and after an intense week (both at work and with the heat) I'm going to have a lazy day.
At work it's still too warm for everyone's liking. The store had a chance to heat up during the refurbishment since the aircon was switched off (and replaced). Also, we used to have open refrigeration units, which cooled down the place, now they're all closed (a lot more energy efficient). We used to have two thermostats in the store we could set ourselves, but now they're gone and it's automatically set. Even our manager can't change it, so he's let head office/maintenance know that it's too warm and even the customers are complaining. But today's that's not my problem, I'm enjoying the cool house. |

High 90's with a heat index of 108 expected today. We are fortunate to have air conditioning.
