Just finished a Coke zero along with a plain (but delicious) chocolate cup cake I baked this afternoon. (The remaining 20-odd have gone in the freezer for use in my son's packed lunches.)

Another fine day in sight! Although I can see snow on the higher mountains around Kyoto, there is still none on the ground in town, which means I can still ride and ride and ride! I love it! Plato said "No man is truly free," but Plato didn't ride a motorcycle! I have a big mug of East India Company's "Assam" tea to drink, along side some sliced Korean-style pork left over from dinner last night, and warm French bread. There is still just a bit of the home-made butter for the bread, and this should make a nice way to break my fast. Then... then.... then.... who knows what today will bring?  Stitchawl |

Two aspirin. Wait 20 minutes. Then a glass of 1996 Dunn Howell Mountain that's been in my cellar for a few years...
Almost no headache. And a big and still fairly tannic Cabernet Sauvignon that has plenty of fruit left and a positively wonderful nose. But you know? I prefer Pinot Noir or Zinfandel if I'm going to risk the red wine headache. |

I've just spent the last hour filling tea bags... It's a bother of a job but well worth it. Plus at the same time I can take inventory of my teas and make up a shopping list. And of course, while filling them, I've been drinking a lovely Assam T.G.F.O.P. #1
