She looks like a Maine Coon cat. Maybe they're cousins!

She is indeed a Maine Coon only two and weighs 10 kilos. I thought Mr M was big when topped out at 6.5ks.

Well - Stella now weighs almost 8 pounds (over 4 kilos?) at 6 months - and man can she put away kitten chow! I'm predicting she will top out at 12-15 pounds (6 - 8 kilos).

I spent half the day at the doctor wednesday for my yearly respiratory checkup. Mentioned to the doc that I've been having alot of trouble with night time allergies. Got a new medicine to try, all well and good. Except for the fact that I was up at 4am with a horrid allergy attack that would not let me go back to bed. Thanks, doc.

In happier news, for those of you who have Nooks or get free B&N books, the book of the weekened is Michael Malone's new book. I happen to live very close to Mr. Malone and have met him on numerous occassions. His books are somewhat quirky but always fun to read. Check him out if you're looking for a good, free, (long at 574 pages) read.

Have you tried mechanical solutions* to your night-time allergy problems? By mechanical, I mean things like mattress & pillow covers (to reduce reduce dust mite problems), and a HEPA air filter (run it throughout the day, and turn off at night, if the filter noise would bother you) of sufficient size?

*OK, not solutions, but they might at least reduce the problem a bit.

Oh yes, been all up and down that list. I've had asthma since i was 12 so I am awash in filters, hypoallergenic bedding, a matress that gets steamed yearly to disinfect it, etc etc. Went over all that with the doc. And i know its not her fault, different allergy meds work for different people. I'm just more irritated that i wasted money on the scrip and will have to pay another office visit fee to get it changed. Well, that and i've been up since 4am.

so for now i've stopped buying ebooks. sometimes i can't justify buying a self-published book that has errors for $5 :P so i just borrow
