Dogs must not be able to taste HOT spices. I mixed up some chipotle powder with a little oil and rubbed it into the chewed up wood.
![]() He licked off most of the pepper and oil.

hmmm...read that news on amazon removing gay ebooks again :O some of on my TBR list is still on amazon, though they are not porn anyway. hm i think one thing that irks me is how most people think of porn at once when hearing about gay books. it just shows how ignorant so many people are :P
man, this whole thing makes me ashamed of being straight, or human, if at all. on the other hand, it makes me laugh. most gay manga or yaoi, as is most popularly known, is mostly created by women just as hentai is mostly created by men (and hentai is degrading and has less of a storyline than yaoi, EXCUSE ME *cough*). in a way, they are discriminating against women :P oh well, probably my overactive imagination. if someone finds me dead one day, it's because i lost faith in the human race, if i had any. it makes me sad to realize that not all members here are as accepting and as open-minded as i had once assumed. guess there are bigots everywhere

@ freeshadow:
am I look that desperate? even though I'm normal, the idea of having boyfriend sounds... abnormal. I don't know. I think I'm childish still, and need some time to grow up, become mature before get involved with that concept they call love.@ Stitchawl: I love your lyrics - or are they from a poem? anyway, they apply to my case perfectly. |

Have you tried wrapping package tape sticky side out around the chair legs? He might not like getting his tongue stuck! They make special double sided sticky tape to put on furniture, etc. to dissuade cats from scratching. [all my cats however love to scratch the sticky tape!] |

Thanks, Poohbear, good idea. I've put supper heavy-duty contact cement on the wood.
Now, how do I unstick him when it's time for him to eat? ![]() Note: Someone just reminded me of a shadow of a memory. Do dogs really not have a hot taster (or whatever it's called)? |

The tape is a little gentler than the contact cement!
What usually happens is they get some of their face fur stuck, pull away - it hurts & they pull some out - but it's usually enough to scare them away. |

The cat conversations in the previous pages put me in such a good mood that I really don't have the heart to rant about anything now! I love cats! I have cats too, all three of them, and all of them were either picked up off the streets or adopted from animal shelters. We named them Jughead, Jellybean and Muffin (the former 2 were named by me, the third named by my Mom. Though now that I think of it, Hot Dog would be a better name for her; it sure fits with her personality). My particular favourite would be Jellybean though, because she has 3 legs, yet she's the Artemis of the household. She can catch anything; including cockroaches!
Ah well, now for my rant. I got into an argument with my parents because they were bashing on a gay mp and I told them I didn't see why homosexuals should be seen as abnormal. The main gist of their argument? "Because the Bible said so." Does anyone actually have an argument against homosexuality other than "because the Bible said so?" because the moment someone uses that, I stop listening, period. But... Cats! *is in a good mood again* |

While not about gay relations, here are some Bible-related situations that you might point out to your parents... Do so with respect though. After all, they are your parents and do believe what they are saying. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in >Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair >price for her? Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and >female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend >of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you >clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 >clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to >kill him myself? A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an >abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than >homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle >this? Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have >a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. >Does my vision >have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair >around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. >19:27. How should they die? I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes >me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two >different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments >made of two >different kinds of thread. (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to >curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the >trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev. 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep >with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14) I hope these help. Stitchawl |
