Any news from our Iliad Owner?

(And yes, I know it's useless to ask since he would have reported in if he had time and/or had his Iliad back, but I just can't help myself...^^)

No, unfortunately I haven't been able to obtain any new information on this...the latest statement from mobipocket was a "not yet".

Cutting it pretty close for their slip from April to May - but the good news is enough confidence to announce to a wider TV audience than might have found a book forum.

Indeed. It bodes well for them going ahead with sales though.

On the downside I got a load of bills today:

GBP245 - water
GBP75 - gas
GBP44 - electric

Oh and my immersion heater went bang on Wednesday evening. So I have a plumber to pay for tomorrow.

There goes my Iliad money. (Thank god for credit cards)

Oh Before I forget:

Henrycat, now you have the next upgrade have the power management features been enebled yet and what difference do they make to it's overall power consumption?

"Two Weeks" sounds somewhat encouraging, though at this point two days is too long of a wait.

I hope it is not the same kind of "Two Weeks" that was portrayed in the movie "The Money Pit".

Hmm, they said "next couple of weeks" which doesnt necessarily mean "two" weeks. But the iLiad looks great.

Well, the Iliad won't be released during the weekend, so everyone can relax for the next two days at least.
Nice bit of footage on chanel 4. (thanks for the url, masc)
Got to see the speed of 'turning the pages' and writing real good this time.
Too bad about that Sudoku, I would rather have seen Irex include "Mad psycho chainsaw killers slashing everything that moves -part II".
