One of my blog readers suggested an author to me a while back (Renee Pawlish). I haven't gotten around to reading her books yet, but Renee has gathered a bunch of us authors and done a sale list of 99 cent mystery/thriller books. It's a small list compared to the fantasy author one I posted about a while back, but you might want to check it out. Links to the list are on my blog:
www.BearMountainBooks.com Happy Mother's Day, y'all. May you see a flower that brings a smile to your face, take comfort in a cuppa, and savor a bit of chocolate (or treat of your choice!) EDITED TO ADD: Tomorrow there will be another big splash sale of Urban Fantasy titles. Wow. There are some that look really good in this bunch. I'll post the link at the blog tomorrow! Another large science fiction and fantasy sale going on this weekend (it's already up at the blog). Stop by and let us know which ones appeal! There's a LOT of sci fi in this round! Everything in the sale is 99 cents through Sunday!
www.BearMountainBooks.com I'm still working on the new releases extravaganza that will happen on July 15! (It includes fantasy, cozy, romance, etc). Stay tuned! |

Doing a big multi-author New Releases promo at the blog (hint: Dragons of Wendal is on sale at Amazon, the boxed set is half off on amazon and you can use a Kobo coupon to get the sale prices at Kobo--coupon codes are posted. If you have used those coupon codes already, let me know and I can give you a coupon for my blog store for my books.)
Not all the authors put their books on sale (some are trad authors and have no control over pricing), however, there are some GREAT deals to be had. There's at least two boxed sets at 99 cents. One is a pre-order (Dominion Rising) but from what I understand, the only way to get 99 cents is to order it pre-order (It's a macmillian set). The other is a nice cozy trilogy (I reviewed the first of the set on today's post--it's good and EASILY worth 99 cents). Come on over and check out the books and feel free to share the posts/deals or discuss the books that caught your eye! I most always enjoy anything by a "mulit-author" and a "trad author", although I sometimes favor mulit-authors over trad authors; while at other times, I find myself devouring trad authors, much to the chagrin of my mulit frieinds!

I've add a few new books to the New Releases page--some of the books from last week are no longer on sale, but the new additions range from 99 cents to 2.99 sale prices (regular prices for those books are 2.99 to 4.99). The new additions are mainly cozy books with one new UF.
Event ends Wed. http://www.bearmountainbooks.com/july2017newreleases/ Any sale prices on my books have been matched in my blog store. Last edited by BearMountainBooks; 07-24-2017 at 02:15 PM. |

New at the blog--we had a great time talking books during the July event, so I'm posting a weekly book discussion pinned to the top of the blog each week. This is working out well for me because I was in a reading slump and already I've found 3 books to read.

Couple of updates - come on over to the blog and talk books with us! There's a pinned post each with -- what you're reading, recommending and even the DNF books.
http://www.bearmountainbooks.com/ I've created a bundle for Kobo that includes Under Witch Moon and Dragons of Wendal along with three short stories (exclusive). If you know someone who wants to try my books, this starter bundle is bargain priced. Link: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/moonshot-10 I'd love to hear what you think of the idea because I'm working on a starter bundle for Kobo that includes Executive Lunch and One Good Eclair, my two cozy series. I may at some point make these bundle available in my blog store, but I'll be testing out the market for them via Kobo. Thankfully, summer is almost over. It's been blistering in Texas and I'm soooo ready for fall. |

We're doing okay here in Austin--thanks for the emails! Most of my friends in Houston are doing okay too. One guy has a roof leak, but he's managing (he's landlocked--most people are). Some loss of electricity, but not as bad as the last hurricane. Here's the campus I used to work at:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuPm...ature=youtu.be It's a real mess. I feel very fortunate. We only had about 6 inches of rain over 3 days here where I live just north of Austin, which the drains were able to handle without a problem. One side of our fence blew down and with it so soggy, the metal poles and the concrete came completely out of the ground. That's gonna be fun to fix. When it's dry and hard it takes a jackhammer to make a hole. When it's soggy, the thing just lifts out and drifts away! The storm was never violent here, although obviously it got quite windy or the fence would still be up. I walked in the rain yesterday and only saw one large tree limb down. The neighbor must have cut it up before the worst of the wind was over because pieces of it were all over the street. Another neighbor had his lawn crew out in the rain MOWING. Those are some dedicated lawn folks! (And they will likely get extra clean up jobs this week so probably didn't want to run behind on their regular lawns.) For us in Austin the worst has passed through. Houston was still getting some rain this morning. |

Me too. I mowed the lawn today because Husband is going to have to fix the fence that blew down. The neighbor wants to hire someone, but it's far too expensive. It could run as much as 2k for that SIDE. Not even the whole backyard!
I haven't mowed in a while. I twisted my ankle and nearly fell, accidentally overheated, ran into one of my pots and I think I may be sunburned. I'm kind of a weenie when it comes to working for longer than half hour slots and the yard is more of a two hour job. I'd rather mow than work with a jackhammer, however and that's what the fencing involves. I need food. I'm starved. |

In an effort to maintain my sanity, I am going to stop posting on some forums. Unfortunately, that includes this one. If you wish to keep up with any new releases or news, there are several ways you can follow me. My blog is the best way--check in periodically or sign up for the new releases and giveaways (the sign up is on the side bar. I send out maybe 4 emails a year--usually less). I have other newsletters/email signups, including a daily one for the blog posts and another newsletter where I promote sales of my books and similar books by other authors. If you're interested in either list, PM me or email me at the blog. The blog signup is also on the sidebar. I maintain three lists because not everyone wants daily emails. The newsletter for sales/promotions is no more than once a month and generally quarterly.
Amazon has a new releases "follow" button on my author page. https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B002M3FL16/ Goodreads has something similar. I don't think either are totally reliable, but they are a good place to try. I am unable to keep up with all the forums and so many of them don't really want authors to post anyway. I appreciate every single one of you who read this thread, who have posted in it and who read my books. I'm not closing this account, so PMs should still work and I should still be notified. I just will no longer post updates, news or comments. See you around the interwebs! Maria |
