[GUI Plugin] Calibre Config Reports

CCR needs a Refresh feature for Shortcuts, Settings and Icons.

If I break out to change anything, then to ensure the change took effect (i.e. I didn't forget to press the Done button or exit via Apply, etc), I must quit CCR, start it again, and reapply the filters and sort.



Icons Report

Why does the "Line" column sort alpha… why does it even exist? A spreadsheet-like row number like all the other reports would be better.

In the context menu I'd like have Delete, Copy (to a folder) and Move (to a folder) actions.

I like the way you've handled multiple libraries.

I'm fixing the redundancy you pointed out earlier, then I'll see the latest issues, afterwards.

Are you sure about Shortcuts refresh? Just did a test, table updated instantly upon changing a shortcut.

edit: tested also the refresh button on Icons tab, after deleting one rule, and it displayed correctly the empty "Used in" .

100% sure

If I don't restart CCR I get what I posted yesterday… a shambles. Particularly if I change more than one shortcut - getting rid of the None-and-None's identified several anomalies that I fixed in one break-out session.

Didn't see the Refresh button, can we have one on Shortcuts and Settings too.

Those options should be greyed out if the icon is not used in current library - I was in my Books library. I do not want CCR to switch libraries.

I need details on how you're changing shortcuts. I see the table refreshing instantly, just tested by changing 2 shortcuts in a single pref dialog "session".

There is a refresh button in Settings tab but I'll see if this can be auto-refreshed as well.

I select a shortcut in the CCR list, I press the menu key, I select Open Shortcuts and present Enter.

Now, because keyboard shortcuts cannot be edited from the keyboard I am forced to use a mouse or similar to open the shortcut editor. No tabbing allowed, so more mouse clicks - except to enter the shortcut I must use the keyboard - then grab the mouse again and click Done. It is a PITFA… the irony of which escapes me.

If there's a conflict, I do whatever to resolve it, if I see something else… e.g. some long forgotten JS shortcut, I would set that to None. Eventually I exit the Shortcut Manager and that's when I restart CCR.

If there's another way, I'd like to know what it is.

I tried to move 14 of my unused icons, when I selected Move, it offered to move them into C:\Program Files\Calibre 2. "That's not a good place to stash away spare icons." says moi.

So. I went to C:\_AppData\Calibre, created a folder named IconStash, and selected that folder. Only the first of the 14 icons selected was moved.

And the Clear history in the Filter box doesn't work.

CCR finds library icons - but they have no Rules or Preferences location, so those options should probably be greyed out too.

I use Calibre 9.3.1 and Report Plugin 4.0.0.
Duplicates are still shown. Same in my screen and some more.
The filter shows both (and more) entries.
Shortcut works correct as expected.
Having a look into the other shortcut shows that there is none which is correct.
The new feature shortcut does not overwrite that one set by me.
No clue why the report additionally shows that one set by Calibre.

For betther analysing I will list here the duplicates (some in German; only those from Calibre):

btw: I like the two columns "aktuell" and "standard"

There is a small issue with "RegEx" beside filter as the checkbox is overlapping the filter field. in Fullscreen it is ok.

Comfy.n, I'm missing some icons, which might be because they're not in my custom icon pack. Version 4.0.1 didn't appear in the updates; perhaps you didn't change the version within the __init__ file. I've selected a mix of languages ​​in the dropdown menu for all categories. It says "All categorias" it should say "Todas las categorias".
