I haven't been able to trigger download mode without removing the SD card though, which might be a bit problematic for some of you...

An experimental image for the Libra 2 (revision F) has been uploaded. Try at your own risk on this revision or on other revisions.

Known tips/issues:
- X11 doesn't work (you can thus disable it during initial setup);
- If you want to enable KOReader, go to Settings -> Reading -> Use KOReader.

Not that I was expecting it to work (since it would be unreasonable to do so) but I can confirm it definitely doesn't work on my Revision E Libra 2. No apparent damage to my device from the attempt.

Can you both connect your device to a serial port and send logs of the image booting?

and PM me the file somehow?
(useful but seeing serial logs first is better)

Note that this blobs.bin file will include your serial number. If you prefer to obfuscate it (e.g. it's still under warranty), I can give you further instructions for it

That would probably help for adapting the image for those revisions.

I couldn't wait and tried it on my libra2 rev A. Starts with 2 white led blinks and that's it.
The device still work after the test with the stock ROM.
Can I do something else?

I don't have the serial cable. Is it's 3.3V or 1.8V? I was going to pick up a 1.8V TTL cable because I wanted to do something with my Kindle Voyage, but I haven't ordered it yet so I could try to find one that has a multiple voltage select.

It would need to be 3.3V.
I think you can try to search 'FTDI 3.3V USB' online and see what you can get. Otherwise, an Arduino/RPI/SBC should have a serial port that can work, too.
