I don't really have any (a mild dairy reaction that I provoke at every available opportunity because I like dairy, and very, very minor and localised skin reaction that I get with some plants while gardening but that doesn't really bother me at all). I am going to agree, however, that allergies would have to be right up near the top of the list. When your body starts to react against "normal" stimulus, and turns against you, well, I don't think an analogy with something I do get - migraines - is out of order. I hate the flu, I hate throwing up, I hate shitting through the eye of a needle, but I know that my body is simply trying to do something to get rid of a problem. With allergies, it's trying to fight a problem that isn't really a problem. That must be as frustrating as hell, especially when it can be so thoroughly debilitating or even life-threatening, coupled with having to identify and constantly try eradicate and avoid the provocation. Frankly, I'd rather have migraine.
Cheers, Marc |

I fight using the pills too - I'll try push a big one with some, but if it only pushes it away a little I don't take any more because I know the migraine will eventually push back much harder. I hope you get past it soon, with whatever works for you. Cheers, Marc |

I had kung pao shrimp for lunch (I rarely eat shrimp, but I let myself have it as a treat) and it helped. I think I'll go make a cup of peppermint tea, read on the iLiad for a bit, and then get some sleep.
![]() Sometimes caffeine actually helps, but then I can't sleep, and I need to sleep to keep in good enough health to avoid getting a sinus infection on top of the allergies! |
