This should ensure there are no duplicates in the library list https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...0382451e215dea

The quick switch sub-menu is the libraries the GUI knows about.

In 3.0, I'd like to have Saved Search Grouping feature, with the ability to move the groups up and down in the list.

Does running Calibre in a OSX VM count? If so, in my limited use I haven't run into any bugs yet.

And when talking about genre (sorry), I was talking about a hierarchical column. But it works now, so it must have been a glitch (or a misconfiguration at my desktop, now I'm at other one). |

Problem with file caching: I was testing CC, using username security and switching libraries. At some point cover thumbs stopped arriving and I started seeing the following exception in the server logs:
Code:

Commit: 757097543d7b707c5d8bef9c4ab03df2a5fab259 [7570975] Parents: 4d75debbf9 Author: Kovid Goyal <kovid@kovidgoyal.net> Date: 13 May 2017 18:05:55 Committer: Kovid Goyal Fix library restriction not fully case-insensitive Looking at the code, what I see would happen if files disappear from the copy cache. I don't know what makes that happen. I don't have any non-standard tmp cleaners. Perhaps an attempt to recopy should be made if the share_open on line 92 fails? Or an "exists" test added to line 67? |

@Terisa: that is a limitation of the way user defined functions work. Basically they are global, so only the functions from the current library can be active. I'm afraid there isn;t reallya way around that. You should define your functions in every library.

@chaley: Hmm there was another report of this, from PandThePanda, IIRC. It would be nice to track down what is causing it. Of course it can probably be worked around by detecting the deletion and resetting.

@chaley: This should prevent the error, though I would still like to know the cause. https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...de338bbca86eb9

1) I was using the debugger in CC. In particular, CC would hit a breakpoint between making a request and dealing with the response. If the timeouts in calibre are short (less than a minute or so) then they could be triggered. 2) Several books in the test library really don't have covers. I can't see why this matters, but ... 3) I turned authentication off using the checkbox, did some stuff, then turned it back on. The failure came after turning it back on. I restarted the server after each change of the box by pressing the "Stop Server" button then pressing the "Start Server" button as soon as I could. If there are any async processes kicked off by "Stop Server" then it is possible that they hadn't finished when I restarted it. |
