(You can increase the number of page turns between flashing by editing the config file.)

OH THE HUMANITY!
(Once you have increased the number beyond 6 you will understand.)

First change number of page turns between flashing on your device in the normal fashion as this will make sure that the relevant setting is written to the configuration file.

Next connect your device to your computer and make a backup copy of 'Kobo eReader.conf' which is found under '.kobo\Kobo'. Then using Wordpad, Notepad++, or another text editor that can handle UNIX line endings - this excludes Notepad - open up 'Kobo eReader.conf' on your Kobo and under the heading '[Reading]' change the value after 'numPartialUpdatePageTurns=' to whatever number you want. After restarting your Kobo check that the value has taken by viewing the setting.

I know the Kobo eReader.conf file, but, I didn't change the parameter, that's why I didn't find it in the file.

Sorry but that is the incorrect url for the extant 3.12.1 thread.

Could someone post the correct url for that thread please (because I'm posting from phone and can't manage it.). The correct thread is already 3 pages long from memory.
