That's a lot more than I paid for the Fire Phone, since it comes with a year of Prime.

That's my point. Unless there is wifi there is no way to use their apps. Unless is something that can be used offline, like reading a book or a game.

I don't browse Internet or use free wifi hotspots, rarely. I don't trust those connections. I prefer the LTE or 4G capability of my cellphone, unless I'm at home of course. Harder to crack or sniff.

I disagree with most of your points. But you're free to get what you prefer ;-)

To me, there are other Android smartphones out there that can provide same functionality for about 200 dollars or less. Granted, no Prime, but better phones and better Android experience,

Old? Yes. But for texting is more than enough. I can even get calls over wifi if needed, even Internationally.

I also have a Motorola Rzr. Yes, I use abbreviations when texting but I get weeks of battery life with it on standby. That's my 2nd choice when traveling out of USA.

I had one of the first Sidekicks and loved it. One word of warning, however: If you bend over near a moving multi-ton forklift and it falls out of your pocket and under the wheels, don't expect it to survive. A design flaw, to be sure; one which will surely be address in a future generation of the device. You can use the apps with out Always being near a WiFi or paying extra for the internet. Just Download what ever you want to watch read listen to before you leave home!
You cant beat the CS Amazon gives you! I just last month purchased a $60 T-Mobile smart phone from Best Buy.... 14 days after I had the phone for no reason its turning itself off/on But Best Buy wont replace it or exchange it. I know that Amazon stands behind their products for a year ... So yep the extra $40 gives me peace of mind!

IF you Don't want the Firefly Why are you here on the thread? They make different phones No one is forcing you to buy this one. Not sure what you trying to do just being a Downer. Find something you can live with. & enjoy! Happy Holidays!

Let me know how it works out... Looks like a good case for around the house. I have 2-3 case for each Fire & my K3. A rubbery type for around home then case to Transport them & another water resistant/splash to protect my K3 from winter colds Nothing like reading & sneezing on it Not OCD but was afraid constant cleaning will lead to damage.

Katie,

SIM cards come in 3 sizes: Mini, Micro and Nano SIMS.

The NANO SIMS are the same SIM's that iPhone's 5, 5c, 5s ,6 and 6 +.

The NANO SIM is pretty much the same size as a fingernail (very small)

Ps. In the picture the one on the far right is a NANO SIM!

You're probably right. I'm sure I would have been just as happy with something else, assuming I could find something similar.

Amazon products tend to hold their value a long time, so resale value on this should be good, should I decide I don't like it.

It does have some cool features.
