I had a SONY PRS 950 and it has lost part of the screen - I keep weeping as it was after implementing alternative firmware the best ereader I have ever seen.
I got now a Kobo Aura H2O in the hope that its relatively open platform would allow alternative firmware as well. I see great progress here but still lack some features the Sony had that neither Coolreader nor Koreader has.

1. Word search within a book or document.
2. Annotations that can be exported as text or image.
3. Notepad

I have the Notepad app in the PB Chess bundle (paid for the licence to support development) but cannot import or save anything in or out to the Notepad. The button SAVE does respond but nothing happens then.

Is there anyone who can give some suggestions and/or confirm that this function works on the Aura H2O.

The screen freezes after showing the Launcher menu. Touches are not responded to.

Another reason can be: I have not added support for KT2 yet. Please post here the first 4 symbols of your reader serial number. Probably I need to add it in the launcher.sh

I haven't enabled logging yet. For KT3, the first 4 characters are G000

I need to know what device is used for touch screen in the KT2

KT uses /dev/input/event3
KPW uses /dev/input/event0
KPW2 uses /dev/input/event1

You can find it if you have usb network.

please try

evtest /dev/input/event0
..
evtest /dev/input/event3

and figure out which device responds when you touch the screen.

From kterm, ls /dev/input gives: by-path event0 mice
evtest works for event0. Doesn't work for event1 or event3
KOReader which initially didn't work on KT3, later worked after changing the eventx value in one of the lua files. But that trick doesn't seem possible here?

For the rest, everything works, except for the known problem with the screen not refreshing after exiting vlasovsoft. Sleeping and waking solves it, so does clicking somewhere blindingly and then going home.

I tried putting

G000) model ="K4";;

as also KPW, KT2, KPW2... into "launcher.sh".
Putting "KPW" worked!

Citation support is added into the latest build (2017.10.06)

HOWTO:

1. MENU-Select
2. Select part of the text
3. Click "Citation button"
4. Edit text if necessary
5. OK

Your citation will be saved into vlasovsoft/cr3/data/citation/<FILENAME>.txt

But the "Konsole" app is very basic - pales in comparison with kterm.

Agree. But in 99% cases I need only to type some command (no need to run mc or vim for me).
