Blossom, let us know if they respond with any type of fix for you or what the problem might be. It almost has to be a conflict of some sort.

I'm up to 21.2GB uploaded now and 40 tabs open along with the tab for Copy and haven't had a crash since yesterday when I opened a 2nd tab to Copy. It might be a different story though once the full images are uploaded and all directories are fully propagated with the files. As it is right now, the majority of files haven't completed uploading yet, just pieces of them, so they don't show in the directories.

Are there any other users of the Copy client on Linux here? I've been trying it out intermittently over the last week or so (and thanks to the anonymous person who gave me the extra 5GB!), but there seems to be a problem with the change detection. When I add or remove a directory the application often does not notice, and stays idle until I stop and restart it.

Just me?

The only thing I do not like about Copy is how it changes the folder icon to that icky blue man. I asked tech support and they said that couldn't be changed (and turning off the overlays doesn't change it).

I have to reformat my computer due to another issue, so I hope getting Copy and the other online cloud sync programs re-set up is pain free.

Never have an issue with Dropbox when I do this so let us know how Copy works for you. With DB I just copy my Dropbox folder back to where it's suppose to be then install the app and it works fine.

Yeah, I've added Dropbox to both my laptop and my other PC. With them being designated folders I don't foresee any issues.

I am wondering how Copy will work since I set it up with all shortcut folders. That's not something I have with Box or Dropbox.

I think it will okay as long as the path of the shortcut remains the same.

I've join Copy too, and it seems very good - similar to Dropbox and very easy to use.

My question is around the free space we get. From what I've read here, I should get 15Gb on joining, 5Gb for installing the application (I have installed it on my PC), and 5Gb from using someone's referral link, giving a total of 25Gb. I have done all those things and now have 20Gb. Have I done something wrong, or just missing the plot...?

I've been using Copy for a couple or three months (lost track of time) on two installs of Crunchbang modified to run out of Debian Sid. I haven't had the problem that you're describing. This past weekend, I moved my Calibre library into it, then out of it again, and added it back as a link instead. No problems at all. It did take a while to get all of the stuff uploaded, though.

I'm on Copy version 1.33.0483.

I could have sworn it said gain an extra 5Gb for installing the App, but I may have misunderstood in my haste to sign up.

After uploading my Calibre library (2.4 GB), videos files or various formats (14 GB) and audio files (9 GB), I haven't had any hiccups with freezing or lockups on either Android tablet, phone, Google chromes (mobile and desktop), Firefox or IE. I'm not sure what to attribute the lockups to. Hopefully there's some light shed on the matter from Copy support.

My current large directory of 28.5GB just finished uploading, surprisingly it only took about 2-2.5 days. I swear it seemed like a week! That really wasn't as bad as I expected.

But everything is still working fine for me. Going to upload 2 more directories, both together probably not half the size of the last one.
