I love the Targus sleeve I found locally, but had not seen it on the web until today at Tiger Direct, Canada. I bet it is on the US site as well. It's $11.07 CAD.

I haven't really had it long enough to comment on the durability - there are no signs whatsoever of any wear to date. As it's made of leather, I can't see it wearing quickly. The exterior of my wallet is made of about the same thickness of leather, and it's still going strong after 20 years of being carried around in my pocket.

Been using my Etsy casephile custom cloth dust jacket for two weeks, and I'm quite pleased. The lightweight cover fits nicely, and uses fusible cloth for stiffener (lighter than wood; more durable than paper). Four leather straps hold the Kobo Aura at each corner. I do have to shove upper right aside a smidgen to turn on the annoying power switch. The velcro close is long enough to reattach once it's behind the reader. At my request, the designer added two straps on the long edges of the inside cover, which become hand slots on the back when opened. This way I don't have to grip anything: slip the arthritic hands in and position my thumbs perfectly to tap at screen's edge.

I think the orange "Chinese Lanterns" fabric I chose makes it much easier to find my reader; it's sturdy and slightly grippy.

US$ 37 to my door.

Well that's good to hear. I use a leather protector boot spray to protect against Liquid spills on my leather cases and to prevent color bleed..... But if the thickness is the same as a wallet then its probably decently made. It is nice to see that cheap elastics are not used to hold the device in place.

The texture of the leather is nice and grainy, inside the case its soft and provides a small amount of additional protection. The cover it self has a nice hardness to it providing a firm flat cover that does not seem to be easy to bend. The magnetic latch works great, the sleep cover mode is activated only when the cover is in the closed position it does not activate when the cover is folded behind the case. The chrome latch adds a nice touch and look to the unit giving it a slight refined look. The leather is carried to the back of the case providing a somewhat less slippery grip and again adding to the refined look. Overall it seems to be providing the same quality of protection of the Original Kobo Aura Sleep cover. I would most definitely purchase this item again. And it does come in a multitude of colors that rival the Rainbow.

Ordered a Caseable cover and here is a mini review with pictures. Overall I like the cover but it does have some quirks that may sway people from ordering one for themselves.

The cover is much thinner than I expected. It is not as thin as the official sleep cover from Kobo but the front and back covers are very firm and offer good protection if carrying in a bag.

The front cover can be folding behind the back cover and the spine is flexible enough to be laid flat. There is also a full size pocket inside the front cover.

The reader itself is held in place by 4 elastic straps which hold it securely to the cover. There is also a hold down strap attached to the back which can stretch over the front cover when closed to prevent the front from opening when inside a bag.

With the reader inside the cover and the cover closed, there is a small overlap on the top and bottom of the cover. The right edge of the reader is even with the right edge of the cover (no overlap).

A few quirks of the cover mostly center around the straps used to hold the reader in place. First, the top right strap completely covers the power switch. I can still turn the reader on and off with the strap in place but it is very inconvienent. Second, the bottom left strap covers 90% of the micro usb port and 25% of the microSD card slot. This strap needs to be moved out of the way before attempting to charge, side-load or swap out the microSD card. Lastly, as the right side of the cover is even with the reader, there is no protection on that side if the reader were to be dropped.

@konrad white: uhgh, if the auto-sleep is supposed to be working and it's not, can't you ask for a replacement for the cover?

Talking about Gecko covers, weren't they saying they were going to sell one that was ergonomic, that followed the shape of the aura's back? Anyone with more infos?

Meanwhile I've bought this one:

http://www.ebay.it/itm/BOOK-LEATHER-...item1e7b232968
but the shipping is going to take a few days. It was cheap, so even if it's not great I won't make it a big problem..

I just bought this one. It looks similar to the slimcover mentioned above, but a different color scheme.

So it can be folded behind easily?
It does look really sturdy, seems to be a great protection from accidental bumps especially on its sides.
