yet, you can keep everything in sync with Calibre: create a custom columns for the sideloaded books that you want to sync on your device, and set it to sync upon connecting to the computer. Not the same thing, sure, but after a while you won't even notice, hopefully!

For those in the US who received their Aura HD, could you give me the size of the parcel? I'm thinking of using a freight forwarder, and a number of them won't repackage (or if they do, they charge more) so if the package it's sent in is very large, it could end up costing more so I'm just wondering what the size is.

Checked my Fedex tracking number this morning and surprised to see it is on the truck to be delivered today. Wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow. The one thing has has gone smoothly in this whole process.

Wow! Thanks, I will try this. I already sync with dropbox between my computers so this sound interesting. A little more "self sufficient"

The box mine was shipped in is approx. 9" long x 6" wide x 2-3/4" deep. Mine was shipped from Canada via Canada Post/USPS.

"and set it to sync"

I have been playing with this and created the column and titled it sync, but can't figure out how to tell it to sync what books. Is there a plug in?

Sorry, I was eager to reassure you it was possible but I was also in a rush, and I have been really cryptic! So, with apologies, here is how it goes:

1. get the reading list Calibre plugin;

2. In the customization menu, from the "population options" select to "Auto populated from books on device": this will get the books from your device n.1 when you connect it;

3. still in the customization menu, from the "Sync options" select "Any device" and the select the other options as you see fit.

In case you have devices of different brands, you can also use this plugin to create a custom column tagging the books on each device, in case you do not want to sync everything (e.g. because you share your computer with somebody else who has differerent reading tastes!).

Hope it goes smoothly for you!

Thanks all. I didn't ask earlier but can anyone who received one particularly via FedEx confirm the weight of the whole package? The 2 lbs FedEx quotes seems a little high considering the Kobo only weighs 240g/~8.5 ounces, I didn't expect the extra packaging to weight so much it ends up being 2 lbs. But FedEx probably wouldn't care about weight to that level of accuracy, perhaps it just means it's slightly more then 1 lbs or could be it's not even that.

Cheers and thanks again.
