Thanks to all for your support!
@pookakitten: empty directories problem should be easy to fix. CBC files are more difficoult to handle...let me study the problem! @jojowerfer: I'll open a new thread as soon as I'll finish the new release. I'll try to make it as easy as possible. |

Is it possible to use some other software (like mangize?) to put the files in the right naming structure, etc.? The CBC files are pie in the sky wishes. Can I use CBZ files if the contents are named properly? Also, is there some way to specify for the app to keep an image file's aspect ratio? Yet another question--I seem to be full of them this morning--would landscape mode (once it's fixed--I have faith in you) be used for double page images? EDIT: Can you add support for leading zeros? i.e. 000 001 002 003 004 etc. Last edited by pookakitten; 05-08-2012 at 11:23 AM. Reason: I had an idea |

Hi there!!
You could use a batch renamer. You can find lots of them on google and one even in this thread (I can't find it now as I'm using a mobile phone!). CBZ files will be hard to manage. The real problem is that, by now, I can't really handle files in this app as it's a WAF. Otherwise I would use a simple open file box. The real file handling it's done before running the app, in the shell. And this is a real constrain!! And this answers also to the size ratio question. Anyway with the new release you will be able to change width and height As regards two -page in landscape...I even don't know if it would be usefull! Sometimes I find landscape even too small for one page. Finally, zeros could be handled!! PS landscape mode is already fixed!!! |

Y'see with being able to handle leading zeros, I can use Mangle to do all the heavy lifting of renaming and dealing with the directories. My mantra is a good engineer is a lazy engineer. (lazy = find an efficient way long term) It also optimizes the images for size meaning I can pack more onto my kindle. |

For renaming and conversion you can also use Irfanview, it has a pretty decent batch-renaming-conversion feature.

@pookakitten: could you please send me a two-page action to test the app with? I'll let you know something asap.
New release will include: - change image width and lenght separatly - lock and unlock image size after resize (otherwise it will reset itself every time you change page as I intended it to be used only for some pages) - titlebar is now your friend!! folder name and current page are displayed - landscape mode is back: rotation is now made within the app, no need to change rotation before running the app - lots of dropdown menus: delete bookmarks in manage page plus every menu in landscape mode (no more text inputs) - code and gui improvements |

@erez: Hi there!! I didn't managed to remove the title bar, I came to the point of thinking it isn't possibile in a WAF. BTW, here's how I change the title:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...3&postcount=17 Now I know that what you write inside '' at first, it is written in the titlebar after the title (and after this character: ·). You can view an example in the attached image (you can set that way by running: Code:
kindle.chrome.setTitleBar('Page: 0', 'prova'); @pookakitten: you can view your image attached. This is landscape mode and it's quite usable (IMHO). If you only have some pages like this, they could be used that way. Otherwise, it is better to resize them! I can't do anything to fix this: I'm using all the width of the screen! You could change the width of the image within ImageGallery, but then you'll have to scroll the image! The problem is that Kindle Touch isn't supposed to be used to display large images. Single page mangas are perfect for Kindle Touch... |

Would it be possible to switch to landscape mode on the fly?

It's already possibile (in next realease)! It's intended to be only a "one time rotation": it displays the current image in landscape mode but it doesn't add the scrolldown button on the bottom of the page. Going to next/prev image reset it to portrait!). |

Last day of testing...don't worry!
A quick question: would it be usefull to have a built-in Wikipedia search? ![]() You type what to search and it brings you to the wikipedia page. Thank hit the back button to go back to ImageGallery. |

I'm not trying to sound pedantic, but is a "screenshot" feature really useful?
I mean, the purpose of your program is to view already existing images, so the "screenshot" feature is of limited use. And for the "once every 5 years" need of actually taking a screenshot, there already is a well-known procedure, which works across the entire device. Don't get me wrong: I know it's cool to find an implement new features. But if at some point that ends up in a feature-laden applications with tons of menus and submenus for seldomly-used features, it may actually be counter-productive because it makes the application unnecessarily complex and harder to use for the end user. Just sayin' ![]() |
