As we continue to speculate and berate, it would be wise of us to consider the situation for the employees who may very well be facing imminent unemployment in a down economy. As such, maybe we could speculate more and berate less?

I trust the berating is saved for the person that set the no-communication policy and noone else. If nothing else, the rest of the staff should be praised for their loyalty and ability to keep quiet while under such duress. As for sympathy for the possibly about-to-be-unemployed, having been in the same situation myself I can only say that it's the risk you assume when joining a start-up, and best wishes in finding the next job in these tough times...

Maybe it wasn't a Snow, but a Snowbot? If it (the bot) does post something, we'll have to adminster a Turing test (not 100% accurate, of course, but if the bot can pass the test, that's good enough for me).

I can see the employees being hush regarding a possible buyout. In the long run a buyout by a big company could potentially be good for the Edge as a device, because more R&D $'s can go into it to help make it an awesome device. The downside is that often currently existing customers get abandoned. If there is a buyout I hope that at least we can get the Froyo update and landscape, etc. added for the eInk side. Oh, and they still should keep the ability for us to activate the Adobe DRM for the device.
