Speculation thread: How will Amazon react to new Nook and Kobo?

Fictionwise, not so much. A few here and there, but for DRM, Fictionwise is mostly eReader format. The ePub Fictionwise mostly sells is multi-format without DRM.

You are talking Mobipocket without DRM. But for eBooks with DRM, Amazon is the only place you can buy for the Kindle.

Amazon might keep page turn buttons, but I do think they'll do away with the physical keyboard in favor of a screen based keyboard.

But I think if Amazon does keep page turn buttons, there won't be two sets and they will be on the bottom like Sony has done.

Actually, the new nook has a web browser built-in. It's just not mentioned and it may not be too stable. But there is one.

I don't think is a surprise to amazon. I don't think adding a touch screen will be enough. I suspect they will make sure to one up the competition and yes I do think a touch screen is coming, but what else?
