There is no reasoning with Man (capitol to indicate the species

In eighteenth century England, women's wigs were sometimes 4 feet high. These remarkable headdresses were dusted with flour and decorated with stuffed birds, replicas of gardens, plates of fruit, or even model ships

More people are killed by donkeys annually than are killed in plane crashes.

Mine too! Mine too!
Here's a gluttony factette (dare not use the dreaded fact*id again...): Daniel Lambert was recognised as England's fattest man in Victorian times, and at his death (aged 39) he weighed 52 stone 11 lb (739 lb; 335 kg), and his coffin required 112 square feet (10.4 m2) of wood. Despite the coffin being built with wheels to allow easy transport, and a sloping approach being dug to the grave, it took 20 men almost half an hour to drag his casket into the trench. |

The word "queue" is the only word in the English language that is still pronounced the same way when the last four letters are removed.
"Almost" is the longest word in the English language with all the letters in alphabetical order. "Rhythm" is the longest English word without a vowel. |
