I'd guess it's the usual case of different US and UK publishers (although I've not checked). That's very common. As you say, it works both ways.

Available both as a standalone short and as the title story of a collection on Amazon UK:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/All-You-Zomb.../dp/B00EIK1VCE

I've posted a link to the collection because it also contains one of my all-time favourite SF short stories, "And He Built a Crooked House".

Yes, a lot of Heinlein's stuff has become available as ebooks fairly recently.

Very good book!

I must've bought a different version of the book as the Kindle link didn't mentioned I purchased the title. Looked in my library, and sure enough, the actual link to the book from my library doesn't work. Would've liked the cheap(er) Whispersync Audible version. (

Let me add that I've been enjoying these too! Somewhat light and fluffy, but quite enjoyable as such. Lots of fun!

There is the Island in the Sea of Time series by S. M. Stirling. --- the island of Nantucket is 'time-shifted' into the year 1250 B.C.

The Technicolor Time Machine by Harry Harrison --- A Hollywood film crew decides to save some money (and time) by filming their latest viking epic in 1050 AD Norway.

Oh! I want to reread that I'd forgotten all about it. Read it long ago when it came out. Didn't even know it was a series.

Connie Willis wrote another Time Travel story in 2 books, Blackout, and All Clear a few years ago. It's about the London blitz, same period as To Say Nothing of The Dog, and Firewatch. It won lots of awards in 2011.

--- I actually came back here to post a few more recommendations :-)
"In Times Like These" (Nathan Van Coops)
Group of friends get electrocuted and go back in time (a lot better than it sounds -- and it's free right now on Amazon)

"Downstream - Episode 1" (Nick Jones) - have not read; it's in my TBR pile; also free on Amazon

"The Day She Died" (Bill Garrison) --A mystery. In this time-travel whodunit, a middle-aged coffee-shop owner always wondered what his life would have been like if he'd stayed in town the day his college fiancee disappeared, the victim of an unsolved crime. One morning he wakes up 20 years earlier and gets the chance. I liked this one a lot. ($4 on Amazon)

"Time Travel Adventures of the 1800 Club" (Robert McAuley) -- a series of 12 (!) books that I flew through, each different time periods. Enjoyed a lot. Each book runs about $2 on Amazon.
Thank you for the recommendations. I've read two of these recently. I enjoyed "In Times Like These" even though the psuedo-science of the time travel was a bit goofy. It was still a good adventure.

I really, really enjoyed "The Day She Died". Kept me up reading way too late to find out how events tied together.

I enjoyed the Timeshare trilogy by Joshua Dann, which thanks to this thread, I looked up again and found out that it was now available as ebooks!

Timeshare
Timeshare: Second Time Around
Timeshare: A Time for War

Book 1 description:
Quote:
Have you ever wished you could go back to the good old days?

At Timeshare Unlimited, you can. It's a very special travel agency where—if you make it through a careful screening process—you can arrange an extended voyage to the past, no passport required. You can go the tourist route and see the sights—or you can settle in and live like the natives. In a time when the traffic moved a little more slowly, the neighbors greeted you with a smile, and the air was full of hope and promise instead of smog.

It's not so surprising that some of Timeshare's clients don't want to return. It's John Surrey's job to bring them back. He's a pro, an ex-LAPD cop who does what needs to be done, without getting involved.

Until, at a Hollywood party in 1940, he meets a woman named Althea. And now, for John Surrey, the past, the present, and the future will never be the same...

(Followed by fun sequels TIMESHARE: SECOND TIME AROUND and TIMESHARE: A TIME FOR WAR.)

Star Trek: Department of Temporal Investigations

Has anyone read Christopher L. Bennett's Star Trek: Department of Temporal Investigations series? I'm very interested to hear what you think of these books (links below).

I don't read much Star Trek anymore but I typically prefer books where Kirk & Co. or Picard & Co. are NOT the main characters (i.e. New Frontier series).

Thanks in advance!
