Yep, you had to grab all of those in a hurry when Karen posted them (I check Booksontheknob obsessively during the day.) She was pretty sure they were going to be yanked quickly so I looked at them hastily and got 11 of them that looked interesting. Hmmm -- I wonder! I thought I had ordered several (not all) of those, at $0.00, about 15-20 minutes before KK posted. I'm a late-shift-er, so I was just getting up, and I always check my mail for your FREE posts, while I'm waking up. Last week I managed to order the one that had already reverted back to $9.99 -- I was still asleep and didn't look at the price. Sigh.

Today, I clicked on quite a bunch of them. But I didn't get receipts for all of them. Many of the accidentally $0.00 pre-orders apparently didn't go through. I suppose they might have been changing them at that time, but they were truly $0.00 when I clicked, and now the page doesn't tell me that I have pre-ordered them. Except for one of them.

Oh well -- as KK says, it's a full contact sport, and ya gotta run to keep up!

Did you check on your "manage your kindle" page? That's the only place I an see that I actually ordered them. I only got e-mail receipts for the ones that downloaded today, but the pre-orders are all showing on my Amazon page, with 0.00 as the price.

I'm accustomed to having to move fast on these. as little more than an hour had gone by, and there were so many of them, I was concerned there was an error on one end or the other

If you pre-order you don't get receipt. It appears when the book is published and it's available for you (I've caught some of them too , and I was going to buy them anyway so..... )
