Sorry, I guess I have explained it incorrectly. I meant I would have had to do it, but because it is disproportionately a lot of additional work, I did not. Sorry. We don't have enough employees here to be a perfect online shop. But we work on it .

I do value the communication, but it puts a damper on that when half the messages turn out to be mistranslated or misinformed. When I first started worrying about delays you assured me they wouldn't affect my order, and now there's this message that reads like you did mail but you didn't. In addition, checking the webpage again it still reads "fourth week of november", contradicted by #165 in this thread.
Besides, I don't know why I'm forced to wait. Just what is wrong, and do pocketbook need a hand?

Gut feeling: Pocketbook is a small client for Foxconn, and therefore Foxconn can afford to dribble PB as it likes.

do you redistribute to the rest of Europe, or would e.g. Greenreader get it directly from Ukraine?

thanks, I had read that, but they seem to be updating their pages much less often than Pocketgoods. I emailed Greenreader yesterday morning, but I haven't heard back yet.

Foxconn actually even owns Pocketbook as a subsidiary.

But you have a database of custumers. You can just get the email addresses from there and send one message to everyone with undisclosed recipients. It really shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes

Maybe they just think that anybody who hasn't gotten their device yet will assume that they were further down the list.

Maybe patron saints are good enough.
I'm orthodox and the only one that fits is the patron saint of trading: St. Paraskevi.
Catholics have patron saints of scholars: Brigid of Ireland, Catherine of Alexandria, Nicholas of Myra, Thomas Aquinas.

You read my mind, Sil_liS! I can't imagine they have *that* many customers.
Of course, what would be in this e-mail? Did you notice that the German site (but not the English one) still has the same excuse as last time:
Verzögerungsgrund ist die von Testern entdeckten kleine Bugs der neuen Firmware die vor dem Auslieferungstermin noch beseitigt werden müssten.
My German is rusty, but I read this as:
The reason for the delay is the discovery by the testers of small bugs in the new Firmware that need to be corrected before the delivery date.
That has been the excuse for the past 2 weeks.
I don't mind waiting. Time is not important. What I do find important is reliability and straightforwardness. I'd prefer a statement like "we lost the shipment in mount Bromo, but you'll have it in your hands on date X" (and then really getting it on date X or very near it), instead of the situation we have now.
My experience of ordering from other online shops (do not matter what products) - no one did inform me, if I had to wait for my order longer. ..
In my experience as far as other webshops are concerned, I order a lot of things online and most of the shops (even small ones) here have the decency of crediting your Mastercard when the order actually ships.

Firmware bugs? I'm a programmer. I could probably do something about them, if only the firmware is as open as it should be (after all, the core software is free software). And the firmware is field and user upgradeable. This is NOT a good reason to delay delivery. On top of that, we've seen from the 302 that waiting on firmware from Pocketbook can take ridiculous amounts of time. They need to get a few more competent people for the job or open it up for assistance. Right now I'm unable to assist even in testing because they won't deliver the device.

That might have been the excuse for the first delay. It looks like the problem should be with making the covers for the devices. That could be the only reason to have to wait for just the black 902, and not the white one. It would also explain why there is an extra delay for the x03 models: they need to make those covers after they are done with the x02 models.

Hi,

We have got the black covers for PB902 in stock for two weeks already.
Tomorrow we are going to dispatch PB902 black to all our customers (a couple of hundred).

I have a database with emails of preorderers of xx3, but please excuse me my incompetence, our system does not allow to send more than one email at same time. May be it is possible, but I do not know how to do it. This is the reason why we are going to change our ecommerce system now -to get more flexibility by doing jobs like that.

Cheers

Waldemar

Hi Waldemar,

For phones this is what is usually reffered to as covers. I was reffering to the corresponding part of the readers.

Hello

It is the end of November, now I can order the PB603 reader from the Hungarian website: http://pocketbookreader.hu/products/pocketbook-603/
however I still don't know wether I have to buy a separate SIM card to it
or it is included for free of charge? The web page is not clear, It only states that there is a 3G modul, which let you use the Internet whereever you have 3G.

Please demystify this!

Thanks!

It's been 50 days since I preordered my 903 from PocketGoods. Are the devices ready to be sent to Nurnberg? Any chance of making the third deadline the last? Any news on 3G?
