What is in your cup?

Drinking my first cup of Lung Ching Dragonwell, a green tea from Peets. It's a little too watery, but there's an aftertaste of bitterness I wouldn't want any stronger.

edit: I take back what I said about watery. It seems stonger now.

Keep the quantity the same, and up the steep time a bit? It shouldn't taste thin or watery.

Sounds nice. Every once in a while, I like to ignore phone calls & door bells and just close out the world to do the same.

While the quantity and steeping time might vary, I would strongly suggest to adhere to 75°C water temperature. Green tea is famous for being very sensitive to it and it gets burnt if you use higher temperature, which leads to bitterness.

Being American, I spell it 'tires.' Our British English speaking cousins would spell it 'tyres.' I think it really should be spelled 'tyers,' but nobody ever listens to me.

My husband decorated our lemon tree while I was at the gym so that is were we are placing all of our Christmas trees. We are traveling for Christmas this year so we did not get a regular tree. The dogs keep barking at the lemon tree and then the bush we have decorated in the front yard. We have determined that they are not the brightest pups.

What are you doing with the dogs when you and your hubby travel?

They will be borded in a kennel. It is not ideal, they don't get as much human time and it is expensive, but Cooper is a bit too much of a handful to leave with friends. As he gets older and out grows some of his puppy energy we should have some other alternatives.

Rather than a kennel, can I suggest looking for a "Pet B&B"? These are places where the dog lives in the house with a family and other dogs, but is not caged. They tend to be smaller, limiting the exposure to disease, and they are also good for socializing your dog to other dogs and other people. We've found this to be a much better solution for our two Cavaliers.

We looked for something like that and were not able to find anything this time. I'll try again when we getback. I am all for having a house sitter who watches the dog but my Hubby is not happy with that idea.
