once again, i am surprised by the seemingly endless greed and selfishness of people @_@ so what if there's a new ad-supported kindle? now people are up in arms about it, because it's not cheap enough? i'm sorry, but i think that amazon is just putting up an introductory price, to skim the cream, as it were, and it will go down in the future to catch other fishies. now they just want to buy the cheaper kindle and hack it to get the ads out? i'm sorry, but who is in the wrong here? i can't seem to wrap my head around this...a cheaper but ad-supported kindle is objectionable, but hacking it to get the ads out isn't?

i'm confused. help!

oh, i just don't get why people are so eager to take the big companies down. i mean, i get it, they're ruthless, power-hungry SOBs and so on, but doing something equally questionable is hardly going to help. it's just going to make the big baddies crack down on all the innocents even more.

that said, i can't wait to get my kindle :P i am easily satisfied.

so anyway, why not just buy the regular kindle then, if you don't want ads? well it's because people want their freaking chocolate cake and eat it too. i hope they choke on it.

it's $114. you can read more on it on amazon the price may go down further, though. i thought you already ordered yours?

i'm just upset that people are just...well, i think there's a fine line between being frugal, cheap, and just downright cheating others.

cool the ads are only on the screensaver and home screen, not on the reading area, as far as i know. and apparently they get special offers. :P

I spoke to soon, I can't have my brother order it, it's only available in the US, kick the Canadians in the... never mind

I'll see how the first one goes and then order a second, I do have a few friends in the States, maybe that the way to go.

My saving grace is that I have an identical vacuum that I've been meaning to put on ebay or Craiglist, so I can use that one to vacuum out the other bag so I can re-attach the interior hose.
