Great find.

Even at half off, they appear to my admittedly hyper-frugal self that they are too expensive, however. Especially considering the fact that not many of the authors probably will be getting any royalties, commissions, residuals, etc., etc. ha Of course, if there is a professional narrator, the translation is a good, modern one, then there are some people who have to be paid, though. And the publisher doesn't do what he does for free. And Audible has to be compensated for their work.

If any of you who is knowledgeable about the classics, including fiction ones, sees a particularly good deal on one or more good audiobooks in this sale, would you please PM me? Or, better yet, post it on the open thread, because there may be some other people who are wondering the same thing as I am.

I had not read all of the blurb and, and made an assumption based upon what I thought the title of the book is saying--I completely misunderstood the point of the book. I thought that the title is tongue-in-cheek, making an understatement with the $2 figure. I was thinking that it is a book describing how people in America could live ultra cheap, if they wanted to.
