Sunny and 21° in this area. Supposed to last for at least another week which is bad news for the wild fires burning in the province.

Today it was in the high 80s for a while. The humidity was only about 38-40% but when I went out it felt rather hot and humid. Around 7pm we had thunderstorms.

It's more than 40° colder than it was yesterday; people are wearing their winter jackets, hats and gloves. In June.

The high temperature today was 81°F and it was very breezy. There were no clouds in the sky, but there was a very thick haze -- mostly from the fires in Quebec. Unlike the smoke we got from the Nova Scotia fires recently, this time the smoke was heavier and not confined to the upper atmosphere. When I opened the door this morning I was greeted with the same smell I get in the winter when all of my neighbors are burning wood in their fireplaces. The air quality was rated "Hazardous" and our town's police department posted a note on their Facebook page asking folks not to call 911 if they were just smelling smoke.

The trees in my back yard were slightly obscured. Visibility was down to between 1 and 2 miles for a while. And we have our own Red Flag warning in place, but no nearby fires ... yet.

We need a good soaking rain. I suspect Quebec does, too. (Good luck up there!)

We had a high of 74 and sometimes the sun came out, but the haze is so bad from the smoke from Canadian wild fires. With the windows open, I could smell the smoke. I should have closed the windows sooner. I didn't have any news on until about 8pm. The air quality is 216 which is very bad. I didn't go out today but opened the windows in the afternoon. Noticed my sinuses were worse than usual.

It was dark, looking out my windows, almost 2 hours before sunset.

Temp is 62 now at 1:30 AM.

It's currently (8.10 am) 12℃ and cloudy, but at least there isn't much wind. This afternoon's high is 22℃ and later this afternoon or early even the sun might come out more. Usually when it's warm and cloudy it means a humid day.

From tomorrow we're get at least a week of temperatures of between 25℃ and 30℃, which means I'll be taking it easy.
