I'm trying to decide whether to buy Harlequin titles on Harlequin.com or Kobo. I have about 10 in my wishlist so far. With Kobo purchases I use PayPal and "travel" to a tax-free state (OR), whereas Harlequin charges tax. I use ebates with Kobo and they have their own reward program, though I think Harlequin's is more generous.

I submitted my receipt yesterday - nothing yet. I usually buy at Harlequin. I only purchased these at Kobo because I wanted to use the store credit I have accumulated. I agree the Harlequin reward program seems to be more generous.

It usually takes them a day or two. And if there are any issues, just email them. They're usually very helpful and friendly.

For example look for "A Match Made in Dry Creek" and "Seven Hundred Pansies." Same author, similar cover, and same blurb but one is Love Inspired and the other Harlequin Heartwarming.

I think FictionDB has a list Harlequin Heartwarming reissues.

If I remember right they aren't reissues. Some are cleaned up versions of the original HQs and others are rewritten for a secular audience. There is no sexual tones in them but also no religion. These are clean wholesome rewrites you can share with someone who has issues with sex scenes or religion.

Personally, I do not like it when authors go back and rewrite/heavily revise prior books. I feel like they are somehow saying as a reader I am a fool by being a fan of the original work as the new is always better (but maybe that's just me). Harlequin thankfully eventually made the original version of the book available for purchase.

I don't have a problem with it as long as both versions are available. I have read one of the heartwarming and went back and read the original. I found on that specific title the heartwarming was better.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have only read Gann and Heat but she is an amazing writer. Sale price very welcome too.

Being a Nyrae Dawn fan, I do recommend this [solid 4 stars from me]. I just love her ability to evoke emotion.
