It looks like it's going to be a nice day, sunny and 24/25C.

The weather for my vacation looks okay; on Wednesday it's going to rain in the morning, and from Friday until Sunday it'll rain throughout the day. But all the other days are dry, though it is going to cool down (to 16C during the weekend), but I packed some cardigans and a jacket, so that isn't a problem.

After fifteen days of temperatures between 105 F and 115 F with morning low temperature as high as 82, we are down to 92 to 95 with a low this morning of 68. But the windows still have to stay closed because of smoke from forest fires.

Sunday night was very rainy, about 70 degrees.

Monday afternoon sunny and hazy, 79-80 degrees and very humid. It felt very humid while I walked in Central Park and after.

It was a warm night, 18C. It was also very humid, not strange considering our vacation rental is on the water, but it'll take some getting used to.

It's currently cloudy, and it looks like it'll stay that way today, with high temps of 22C.

Weather isn't bad but the forest fire smoke is still making for an air quality health index that is trying hard to set new highs.

Yesterday was sunnier and a bit warmer than predicted, which was nice.

Today that isn't the case. Last night the expectation was that it would be dry all day, but it looks like that's not the case. To the south is a large band of rain and we're right on the edge. The current prediction is that there's a high chance of rain between 9am and noon. We might get no rain, or it might rain for three hours, or anything in between. At 20C it'll be cooler than yesterday.

Fall has arrived, at least for the next couple of days.

Today is a rainy day, from 10am until noon tomorrow there's a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy winds. Currently it's 13C and this afternoon it might rise to 15C.

The past two days were very cool in the morning, about 66 at noon and up to 77 during the afternoon. Sunny and dry. 71 now at 9:30 PM.

I am starting to notice that some stores, restaurants and a doctor's office are either turning off their air conditioning or making it so low that I am too warm in them. I went with a friend today to his oral surgeon in Astoria, Queens and thought the waiting room was too stuffy, so I took a walk. He had to have someone with him or they wouldn't do the procedure. Went for a slice of pizza in my neighborhood and thought it was too warm in there, but the pizza tastes better fresh than to carry it home. The subways and buses I traveled on today were well air conditioned. I'm still wearing sleeveless, but I notice a lot of people are wearing sweatshirts.
