a generell question about PRS+:

is it possible to search for specific word in multiple pdf files, e.g.

search for TESTWORD in all Files in Folder \sd-card\pdf_files\...

PRS+ then displays all PDF files with Word TESTWORD

I have downloaded the file for the PRS+ but I am not sure what to do have had a look and there are some folders that say

Firmware
Languages
Tools
Autorun
Installer
pi assets

do I have to install all of them onto my reader or sd card I am a little confused and a little worried in case I go wrong and mess up my reader can someone advise me please.

What means: CORE.NODE_MORE ?

Is that a translation error?

CORE.NODE_MORE = a additional menu where all the not (to an open slot) assigned goodies go.

Not an error. In alpha-state translations are not started yet.
Kartu will provide a google-spread-sheet with string-resources before beta starts.

There's 1 thing I don't understood, alpha 2.0.9 is only for x50 models or I can install it also on my PRS-600?

I have just downloaded the Sony PRS+ for my 505 have put it on a sd card, now do I just put the card into the reader, or do I have to transfer the files from the pc to the reader unsure what to do have been trying since yesterday to figure it out, someone sent me a link to an install guide but I couldn't follow it it says follow instructions on screen but I am not getting any instructions.

You have to put it into the reader. Unzipped.

It's a while since I installed on my own PRS505 but I made some notes at the time. This is what I wrote:

1. Copy directory PRSPInstaller to an empty SD card.

2. Put SD card into PRS505 and switch on.

2a.	To take a backup enter "Expert Mode" and choose backup all partitions
	Copy files from PRS505 root directory to safe place on the PC.

3. Repeat 2 and follow on-screen instructions.

Thanks Kartu I put it on the SD card but I opened the zip and put them all on the sd card one at a time, so i put it on the card as you said unzipped but now getting a message saying my firmware version is not supported if I install PRS+ your firmware will be overwritten with supported version (backup will be made so that I could restore it later) so clicked install again and got the same message. my Sony model is 1.2.00 18050

mollie, as stated in Install Guide

Please note, that non US (1.1.00.18040) support for PRS 505 is experimental. Recommended way is to downgrade using modified Sony Flasher (modification simply fakes version number, otherwise it's a standard Sony Firmware Updater)

Excellent installed the flasher and then tried the PRS+ again and it is working, no problems at all thank you so much Kartu. I am always a bit wary of trying things that I am not quite sure of just in case I make a hash of it
