Time to use up all of my points and double check my books are all downloaded it sounds like. Switching away from regular downloads will make them a no go for me once it happens.

Bummer. He confirmed no ADE either. Guess I will have to use up my reward points as well as I have zero intention of buying any books I cannot dowload.
I will miss getting books a month early ![]() |

There are some books that are December releases I want, so I am waiting until Thursday to use the rest of my points coupon codes.
I will still have some points left. But thankfully my balance was down under 10,000. |

So basically, they want you to buy books that you have NO way of keeping possession of. In other words buy everything and own nothing for the money spent.
Time for people to dump Harlequin. |

The app says it'll make the book available for offline reading so the app must download the book. It's just a matter of figuring out where on the app downloads it to on your computer and then importing the book into Calibre.

I do like getting books a month early. But I want to be able to add the books to Calibre. That's a must for me. Honestly, I cannot understand why Harper Collins wants to do this. It makes no sense to me. I get that ADE can be a headache. But it's not as if they can fire all their tech people to save money as people will still need technical help with their new wonder app ![]() Also, I bought so many books during their 5¢ sale over Christmas in 2011. Soooooooo many books! ![]() |

I've been downloading my books there as I buy them. At least it won't be a mad rush for me to download. I've hardly visited the site since they stopped giving me free points for silly things. ![]() |

(a) the book is downloaded as one file, or a small number of files. It could be downloaded as 100 files. (b) that once you have the book as a file, it has no DRM or DRM that can be removed. The only ePub DRM that can be removed (with Alf's tools) is Adobe's old system, which they definitely won't be using. It's certainly worth investigating, but don't get your hopes up that it'll be possible immediately. |

Sooo..... I got locked out after three purchases yesterday evening. I remember this being discussed in this forum but it hadn't happened to me before. I just sent Harlequin the following message:
Hello, Yesterday I saw that you are changing eBook providers. I have a significant amount of Harlequin My Rewards points, and don't wish to change the manner in which I read books so I purchased three books with points. I was going to continue buying more titles, but now under Free eBook it says "greyed out" not available. Can you please "unlock" my account? Is there a maximum number of titles that can be purchased in a single day? I would like to use the majority of my points before this change over as I have no plans to download an app in order to read my Harlequin purchases. I will continue to purchase Harlequin titles from the digital provider of my choice. I am sad to see your service changing. If you look at my account, I have been purchasing digital titles from Harlequin since 2011. You have lost a loyal customer with your changes. Thanks, |
