Cran Grape and a think of Raspberry Greek Yogurt. Fruit, Vitamin C, calcium, Vitamin D, and protein. It is weird how I think about food these days.

Yes. Shit in, shit out.

After 20 years living in Germany and experiencing Lidl, Aldi, Penny and the rest, as a consumer but also as a business consultant, I have very strong negative things to say. But, to keep it short, basically, no farmer nor food producer can make a living producing healthy and tasty products while distributing through these POS, hence the products will be either tasty or healthy (seldom healthy, more often tasty but have a look at the ingredients ), never both, and I hate the way those distributors deal with their business partners or employees. Cherry on the cake, I think it's rich, to say the least, to hear regular Aldi or Lidl customers complain about how the economical situation is so bad, or the employment level so low, while happily contributing themselves to worsen it all.
Eat less, but be choosy about what you eat and where you buy it, because it all has consequences.
Nuff said, or you will think I only know how to rant......

The bar opened 20min before dinner.
My best 2/3s has joined whisky club this weekend. The last scraps of Bowmore Enigma. I might squeeze out one more shot next Friday night.
Thus, Talisker 18 will be opened before Christmas
I never tried 18. I loved 12 year. We will see Good timing too. It will help me to decide what to purchase in duty free coming Christmas

Meanwhile, like a proper teetotaller, I am having a cup of Afternoon Tea

Probably you are right.

Although, if we were to follow your advice, we would have to grow everything ourselves in the back garden or pay an arm and a leg for an organic food (of a questionable sources too).
I buy in Lidl all the time Not everything. Some things in Lidl, some in Tesco's some in M&S. Although, all of my food come from supermarket chains.
One got to be choosy. Check the ingredients, compare with other available products in other shops.

I know. I am lazy.

I had good luck with plain oatmeal and toast or just plain saltine crackers.

Sometimes, certain smells would cause nausea for me. We were sharing a large cabin with 3 other couples for a snow skiing week and one morning before going out, we were cooking bacon and eggs. The smell made me so queasy that I had to go outside until it was time to leave for the slopes.

I so hope that I don't have that reaction to bacon and eggs because I love bacon and eggs.

Water. Finished a snack of carrots, hummus, and a few pita chips.

Yes. My current contract involves working with a team in Redmond. Most of it I do at home, but periodically it's useful to go down and work locally there. Usually about once every six weeks.

Phoenix Mountain Oolong. First steeping.

IMO, one should start as one plans to proceed. Bacon IS one of the major food groups, after all.

(Says the guy who dry cures and then smokes his own bacon, from locally sourced, organically raised pigs.)

Bei mir bist du schön, please let me explain
Bei mir bist du schön means you're grand
Bei mir bist du schön, again I'll explain
It means you're the fairest in the land

I could say "Bella, Bella", even say "Wunderbar"
Each language only helps me tell you how grand you are

I've tried to explain, bei mir bist du schön
So kiss me and say you understand

Good morning all! Boker Tov! We met a lovely Israeli/German couple while out riding yesterday... got me in the mood! But Monday begins with a mug of Yorkshire tea and some more fresh English muffins. I'm not much of a muffin man, but these came out OK!

Yep! That is exactly how I meant to use it. I usually drink my gin in a regular 8oz tumbler, but that evening I was just having a small taste.

My favorite season too. Cool enough to need a jacket, but not yet cold, even when cruising along the mountain roads. Leather gloves, but no need yet for glove liners. And the colors!!!!!!! It's almost psychedelic! But it's almost difficult to ride... I keep stopping to take more pictures!

... and the colors will only get more vivid in the next few weeks! I love it!

Yes. I don't have any issues with being an omnivore, but I also respect the rest of the food chain and think it's important to ensure for the quality of life of what I eat. (Besides, the meat simply tastes better from a free-range animal as opposed to one that has been abused and lived its entire live in a tiny, dirty, and unhealthy environment that has required antibiotics to even allow them to live.)
