That it could be. What I would have suggested was taking an image of your existing µSD card and use it to restore your Clara HD if needed later.

My Clara HD will not boot after manual reset
My Clara HD will not start after battery running flat. I am stuck on white screen with flashing light. I charged the battery overnight and same situation. I also tried disconnecting battery and reconnecting. Same situation.

Could you send me a SD card image? Thank you for your help

You will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask for PMs to be enabled.

Once PMs are enabled, please re-post here to let me know.

That tends to suggest that your Clara HD has a hardware issue. Most repairs are far more than the cost of replacing the ereader.

Hello,
My Kobo Clara HD reader is stuck on white screen after hard reset tentative. Only solution is to get a clean image and reinstall on the SD Card. Can one of you send me a Kobo Clara HD image ? I have enabled Private Messageing. Also, I understand that once new image is deployed on the SDCard, the serial number need to be patched. Is there any instruction somewhere ?
Thanks a lot in advance for the help you could provide
