If you've not yet read Graham Masterton, he is a solid, journeyman horror writer. He won't be your favorite author, but his books are entertaining and solid.

The Wolf's Hour (solo book) was also just on sale. Of course, like me you already have all three.

Stinger has perpetually been on my TBR list. I really do need to get to it.

As usual, I prefer the more lurid original cover. I want to know what happens when you open the die-cut cover. Given the subject, please tell me the tied-up kid is standing in a cartoon cauldron.



I don't have Ritual/Feast yet. Guess I'll be waiting on that one to go on sale.

I do, too. In fact, I removed that 'do-nothing' cover and put the beautifully lurid cover on my copy.

Your image reminds me of an old ebook (?) I have with eyeballs on it - some kind of food seasoned with eyeballs - but I can't remember the name of the book. The newest cover is a bit different. I'll see if I can find it on calibre and then post the cover so we both can relish it. Get it? Relish!

I don't actually have the old Masterton book, but at one time I did own it. The fact is I never read it, but I'm now prepared to do exactly that, just as soon as I finish reading Polaris of the Snows, by Charles B. Stilson.

ADDED: The Gutenberg and Amazon [Kindle] editions are not complete. They only contain the first 5 chapters. I had to get it from a different source.

Oh my! The president of Pinnacle called in the graphics designer and said 'how are readers to know this image of tied up children in a lit cauldron is the cover to a horror novel? You'd better add some skeletons to it. Just to be safe.'

I clearly missed my calling as a horror book cover designer in the '80's!
