I add "+instafreebie" or some other identifier to the Gmail e-mail address I provide. Filters are my friends.

I get only books that interest me so author newsletters are one thing. It's the auto-sub to instaFreebie that really irks me. Same goes for nice giveaways that don't let entrants choose which newsletters to subscribe to. And sponsors wonder why they end up in spam…

Perhaps they confuse newsletter with blog? Can you tell what newsletter service they use?

No. It look like an actual email (albeit a form one). I was looking on my tablet. I should try again on my PC.

ETA: Okay I got it to work. The link had http ://http// (without the spaces) to start. When I took off the extra http// it said I was unsubscribed.

It was a service called Sendy.

Yeah. I went into a 50 author giveaway recently figuring I'd get at least one email from each of the authors, but I've literally gotten over 500 emails from the authors in the giveaway sometimes three in the same day.

I love the ones that come the day after they sent a free book link that are worded with the assumption that in less than 24 hours you've downloaded, read and of course loved their book so would you please leave a review right away.

I stop buying category romance with the exception of Linda Howard, Sharon Sala you know backlist titles that are released.

I do reminiscence of the glory days. Fictionwise coupons, The great HQ $4 off coupon and Kobo coupons that I have hundreds and hundreds of Harlequins ebooks more than anything in my library.

I keep thinking I should find something to buy at the Harlequin sale, but most of the ones I bought at the big Christmas sale a few years back are still in my TBR (many were ones I'd already read/owned in print).

Plus I still have 20 or so coupon codes and lots of points. So I think I shall sit this sale out.

I don't mind getting newsletters from authors when they actually have info about upcoming new releases, sales, or free short stories, deleted scenes, etc. But this author has sent me about 15 emails all just asking me to rate the book. Every time I get one it makes me not want to read it I tend to take the page at the end of indie author books out that asks readers to leave a review. I don't like the practice.

I hear you. I still have books from the $5 no minimum reusable coupon I haven't read not to mention 36,000+ points to redeem (wish they'd add some new titles I've been waiting for). I did see that the Pehally Bay & St. Piran's Medical series' are part of the sale which are kind of tempting as I liked both, but I don't know how realistic it is that I'd ever re-read them.

I do see that most/all of Julie Miller's Taylor/Precinct series' & Paula Graves' Cooper/Bitterwood/Gates series' are on sale if anyone's looking for some romantic suspense.

I've yet to buy anything. I checked to see if a couple of titles I was interested in were at Overdrive and they were!

I picked up several eBooks at Amazon for the Harlequin sale over the weekend. I normally get them from Harlequin but they were not on sale there yet and I have some gift cards to spend at Amazon.

One day I forwarded 12 receipts - a couple I accidentally sent from the wrong email address. So I have had 4 rejections so far - waiting until I am done before I email Harlequin. I assume the rejections were because I sent them from the wrong email and I sent too many.

On the 16th I redeemed points for a free eBook. My Points History was pretty long (as it usually is - about 40 items - went back to September). I noticed as I add to it, either by redeeming points or adding purchases - the bottom ones on the list disappear. That doesn't bother me since I copy the list whenever I redeem points.

Now, all that is left is items I have purchased since the 17th. None of my actions on the 15th or 16th are there or anything older. I have been checking it daily to ensure my purchases from Amazon get credited.

Has anyone else noticed the smaller Points History list?

I was going to buy a few at Kobo because I cannot stand the one-at-a-time on Amazon (and it's worse with only being able to send 10 receipts to Harlequin in a day!) But thanks to all of you (and I finally got the Harlequin email) I will purchase any further eBooks from Harlequin. No receipt emails!

Sorry to be so long-winded

One of my libraries pretty much has every recent Harlequin from the past few years.

I have hundreds of Harlequins I will probably never read.

I use the free codes for non category books.

I just ran out of free codes to use and I still have at least one book I want plus more coming out but I should have more codes by then.

I did get an email from Harlequin today with a link to the sale on their site. Same graphic as before but now clickable.

It can't be worse than that book I read the heroine jumps on the hero and wraps her legs around him while he somehow manages to get her something from the fridge and move from this place to there all without her falling because she is little and short at five feet.

Ok, that gave me a giggle. Sorry but unless the guy was a total beanpole, that would be impossible.
In order to be carried around like that, the girl has to be able to wrap her legs completely around the guy and lock her ankles. Otherwise, the girl will slip unless one or both of his hands are supporting her.

*Full disclosure, I used to make bets that I could wrap and lock my legs around the biggest guy in the room. So yes, I have been carried around more than once. Also never lost a bet.
Long as the guy was under 320, I could do that. But then I was a long legged skinny thing.
