Like I said if the op or yourself wants to promote a product that's not even available to him yet and create hype around it while ditching the competition they should do so in a blog (or cough up some money and advertise on google) and censor comments they don't like. If they keep hammering one inaccuracy after the other (or more accurately blatant lies) about said product and apple's "obvious failings" (and then to add insult to injury they also prohibit any reply with this is "an exo pc thread") and they do so in this forum I am going to reply to that. Sorry if democracy is problematic for you. Whether you welcome me or not is irrelevant to me. Last edited by harryE123; 09-22-2010 at 02:08 PM. |

I wouldn't say the onscreen keyboard is a failing, but i guarantee i would rather type on my net book than the onscreen ipad keyboard. Btw net book would be one word if my ipad would stop sticking the space in between hehe. To argue for the ipad keyboard is just wroong. Hey i admit ipad is a great device, but im one to call it the way i see it regardless of brand. Apple will cave with flash if it starts costing them sales. You guys are killing me. This thread is going to end up costing me $800.
My iPod touch disappeared about a week ago (I suspect my two year-old). I had almost talked myself into an iPad, despite very serious reservations. I won't say that the iPad isn't appealing, it just has shortcomings that I can't make myself feel good about. Why can't I just have a tablet that runs Windows, that I can install specialized software packages on, and plug thumb drives and external hard drives into? Then along comes this thread. Now, three days later, I have devoured everything I can find about the ExoPC, and joined the forum. I have filled out the pre-order form, and am just trying to get up the nerve to transmit. Spending this amount of money on a product I've never laid hands on makes me nervous. But I will be going out of town in early November, and would really like to have it in my hands before then. Besides, I'm just not a patient kind of guy. So, thanks, guys. You're wreaking havoc on my discretionary funds. |

On HTML5 using significant CPU resources.

It's a pretty reasonable attempt at benchmarking HTML5 performance against Flash across the various browsers and operating systems. It certainly doesn't indicate that HTML5 performance is better than Flash performance for anything except text display (which HTML is optimised for, of course). Graham |

LOL
Appleism is a different kind of fundamentalism ![]() I think you'll enjoy your win7 slate. Like I posted before, I run my convertible HP TX2 in tablet mode often enough, and at 125% DPI, win7 is very manageable. I mainly bought it because it was perfect for me - a laptop with a big-enough screen (12.1") and keyboard, a decent processor (2ghz dual core Turion), and not-total-suck graphics (ATI HD3200 onboard). The touch screen / tablet stuff was a bonus. I'd love a true tablet with android, or win7 and a nice extra GUI layer on top of it for use around the house / on the go. But it needs HDMI, an SDHC slot, and USB at a minimum. |

Those are the things I wanted, too, which is why the Exopc would seem to fit the bill (for me).
