Anyone getting a shipping date on their K3? - Page 11

Well, I ordered mine on August 1st, no change in status yet. But I just went and bought a regular cover, they are in stock now.

I ordered on July 29th, but so far it is only the status of the cover that has changed, not the Kindle itself.

I ordered July 30, 2010, from the US site.

For the regular cover only it now says:

"This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed."

The kindle 3, itself, still has no change.

My order can no longer be canceled and the shipping charges have changed to $0. Looking good!

I ordered early on the 28th and still have no indication of shipping. Just wondering - those who are seeing it ready to ship, did you order the WIFI only or 3G/WIFI? (Mine's 3G/WIFI)

My cover now has the 'can't be changed' status, but not the Kindle itself. My credit card has one of those 'Authorisation only' charges (i.e. it doesn't say who is charging it yet) for around the cost of a Kindle cover + shipping and I can't think of anything else I've used my credit card for recently.

I'd be a bit annoyed if I got the cover before the device, but it's not exactly the end of the world if that happens.

Do Kindles all get shipped from the US or will I (in Australia) get one shipped from Asia? I can't remember with my K2 but I remember it only took a couple of days from when I ordered it.

Unfortunately, I can't say that yet. My Kindle (3G+Wifi) is being prepared for shipment and cannot be changed.

I ordered a graphite 3G on the 28th and the order doesn't indicate any shipping, yet.

The white 3G I ordered on the 29th is 'shipping soon'.

EDIT: They both now say shipping soon. I imagine things are nuts right now in their warehouses.

My Kindle is now 'shipping soon' and my credit card has been billed for the full ~$300 for Kindle and cover.

I ordered the K3 WiFi only and the non-lighted cover on June 28th from USA store. I guess the cover and K3 are shipping from different locations since my CC was billed seperately for each item. Or perhaps they are shipping the K3 2-day and the cover ground. The cover still shows a delivery date of Aug 31 but the K3 doesn't show a delivery date yet, but both items show shipping soon.
