Not if he has the same reaction I did.

100 pages of Dan Brown's writing style was enough to make me give up.

Nice premise, shame about the execution.

And according to a documentary I saw on TV yesterday his facts are all wrong too...I would have loved to see the church taken apart for telling lies about so many things...^^

Back to Topic:

Did Henrycat's Boss really take the Iliad with him to Spain??? Doens't he have any scruples at all??? The device doesn't belong to him, but he takes it to a conference...ok...no problem there...but then he goes to Spain and "forgets" to give it back or what???

Dont forget. Spain might be just a few kilometers from where Henrycat works
I bet hes biting his pillow at night, to not think about it. Or maybe his boss was so kind to keep him sooo busy, that he wont have time to notice, that his iLiad is in Spain

Hey, this thread became a bit "strange". We discuss where Henrycat's Iliad could be now. So, next generation of Iliad must habe a gps or galileo sender.

If Irex would publish the Iliad's Users Manual, most of us will calm down.

However, thank you Henrycat for all the information you have provided.

I wouldn't care if they only released a day-glow orange version, with neon purple polka-dots -- I just want them to release the thing!

And i have seen an image of a red unit somewhere, dont remember where though. I personally would probably prefer the black one. Would be the best for reading in bright sunlight, because i would think the refletion of a white unit might be too much then. But the white one would be the color of choice for any medical personel i guess

If you feel that way, you should try reading Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum" which is about many of the same things, but is beautifully written. Eco is a fantastic writer.

Thank you. I will (and have in fact just added it to my next order from Amazon).

To get back to the thread. One of the images on their appears to show a metalic (It could be shiny black, but all the others have appeared to be a matt finish) version too.

I think black is a good colour. It contrasts well with the color of the screen and should be comfortable to look at...or rahter to look past. The black Iliad doesn't look very flash and gadget-like, but I think I'll be able to live with that.

For reading it is better to have no contrast between screen and it's border. More comfortable to read without margins
Sony Librie and Jinke Hanlin are more colour-considered from ergonomic point of view.

That is true. But as far as it looks on the images. The white is too bright and glossy. If it would be matte and about the same color as the EInk paper white, that would be great i think.
