I am happy - happy - HAPPY!!

Because a friend of a friend, my next door neighbor (and daughter of landlord) gave me two full bag of clothes that fit me!!! There were four pairs of jeans in there! I never owned that many pants!!!!! And so many tops - cute, sexy or work appropriate... It's like heaven! I never, never had so much clothes in my life!!!! I've spent the evening reorganizing my wardrobe and my drawers to integrate the new clothes, and trying outfits on and parading...

For the first time in a long, long while, I feel pretty, princess-pretty!

My charitable giving never includes clothes because I wear everything I have until it literally falls apart. I have a favorite old shirt that's so comfortable I can't bring myself to part with it. The bad part is that it's so threadbare that I keep putting my head and arms in the wrong holes when putting it on.

i know just how you feel cat ! i love it when a friend passes along some clothes she doesn't wear anymore. i've never ended up with so many at one time, mainly because (like tom) i tend to keep my clothes forever (or until they litterally disintegrate) so even if i don't buy many i have a lot but i have a few choice pieces that i really love that i got from friends. it's always a bit like early christmas, isn't it ? when i do try to clear out my closet a bit i always propose to friends first, as well, for some reason it's easier to part with things if i know they're going to a good home where they'll be worn and appreciated.
