It was a loop of "render, screenshot, clear". I'm going to be traveling for a week so I loaded my reader with 10'000 flashcards yesterday. And for some reason it was easier to do it that way than add proper text mode support to my FlashCard addon, which still only does images, for now. Minor maintenance release, mostly minor documentation tweaks. Plus a new helper function to more easily deal with memory management of dumps, especially for bindings in languages where getting access to the libc's malloc/free requires a bit of hoop-jumping (looking at you, cFFI ;p).

I, err, may also have spent a few days playing with the fire effect from the PSX Doom port as a mildly fun way to stress-test the EPDC.

See this video to see it in action.

(First comes a PW2 w/ AUTO, probably making excellent use of its fancy *_FAST waveform modes [./doom -t -S2 -l 24], and then another run in A2 mode [./doom -t -S2 -l 24 -W A2]. Then comes the Forma, running in DU mode w/ HW dithering [./doom -t -S3 -l 24 -W DU -d]).

Not pictured is the H2O, because of its, err, less than stellar performance.

EDIT: Use fbdepth to go back to a bitdepth that suits whatever you were running before if that isn't KOReader .

Yes, those leds seems exactly the same used by Kobo Clara HD and BQ Cervantes 4. See https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ment-439700537. So NiLuJe suggestion should work as is.

i.e: for a given white level typing

echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/lm3630a_led/color

will set the warmth to max level.

(I set "ftrontlight" before starting the Koreader to 100% before starting the command line).

Yep, that's a symlink, the redirection is perfectly normal.

Guess we'll have to wait until someone with shell access and a device looks into it.

I'll push the change with a note anyway, since it's at least an order of magnitude less broken than trying to use the Forma's driver .
