I see there are now separate LIBRARY and ARCHIVE tabs, and the option to remove from library has been replaced with move to archive.

As well as the current contents of trash, archive looks like it contains everything I have ever deleted from trash, as well as what seems to be some old versions of books in my library that have been updated.

There doesn't seem to be a way yet to search the archive, and no option to remove anything except to return it to the library. (The old trash had a delete forever option.)

This time they see to have removed it from the page completely. The last version it was simply hidden and turning JavaScript off displayed it. Now it's not in the page source at all.

Arrgghhh... I was on the road and used my tablet to purchase a couple of books from the Kobo store. I then synced my H2O to have the books available for reading. At this point, I have about 70 ebooks in the library side and quite a few more in the archive side on the Kobo website. For some reason unknown, my H2O synced every ebook in both which took most of the rest of the trip.

When I got home, tried re-syncing to the Kobo Desktop. It seemed to remove the books that had been synced from the archive. However once done, I had about 200 kepubs left on my H2O that gave error messages when I tried to open them. Checked the database with SQL Expert Personal and lost track of the number of errors reported.

So factory reset, update, patch, re-sync, re-insert the uSD card, waited a couple of hours and back in business.

Moral of this tale? Murphy was a flaming optimist.

How frustrating. I leave the wifi on on my H2O, and it syncs automatically every night. But it only downloads new books. And none of my books are archived. I just remove them from the device if I'm done with them.

It did get messed up a few months ago. I had sideloaded an epub that turned out to have issues. I edited it in calibre. Then I tried to delete the incorrect copy and load the corrected one. (To the device itself, no memory card inserted.) After that, the H2O didn't know what was or wasn't on the device - both sideloaded and Kobo content. Had to do a factory reset.

The new library just showed up for me. I have two books in the "new" library, and 60 in the old library.

I just downloaded this book by exporting from the new library page on the website, and the file that downloaded was a KEPUB, complete with javascript, Kobo spans, etc.

Luckily when I downloaded the same book by tapping the download button in the old library I got a plain EPUB3 instead.

Well, that's disappointing. I wonder how long the old library will remain available.

Why? The details page promises a DRM free ePub 3 ebook. That is what is downloaded from the new library. And that actually means the old library is at fault by giving an ePub 2.

I have gotten three books n a series like this. There are no problems reading them with the RMSDK renderer.

The old library gave me an EPUB 3 as it should, the new library gave me a KEPUB with all the Kobo spans and stuff added, like I get when syncing a Kobo device.

I checked other books exported from the new library, but it is only the DRM-Free EPUB 3 books that are being exported as KEPUBs. DRM-Free EPUB 2 and Adobe DRM EPUB 2 and 3 are still being sent as plain EPUBs.

SIGH! I just bought some new books at kobobooks and found that the new LIBRARY page has fixed the sort by author/title but has removed the date purchased category. That was the one I found most useful. Now I have to go back to the old Library page to see what books I purchased most recently, and be able to download the ePubs.

I did post a comment on their send us your thoughts link. I told them I found the date purchased sort the most useful. Maybe if others feel the same they could go to their Library page and send kobo their thoughts, please.

If they need to make space for a Date column, I'd be happy to do without the Genre column. A lot of my books just show the Genre as "Fiction & Literature"which is far too general to be useful.
