Now that it is February, I guess I should open mine up and take a look at it.
Will every Moto E case fit this? If so, I will order the least expensive unless you recommend something better. |

Dunno. You might want to be sure they say "2nd gen" .... since I'm not sure if they changed the size.

We just have ours in the blue shell it shipped with. I did put a screen protector on it, also.

They are different so the cases are not interchangeable.

OK, I give up. I can't get it to work.
I go to McDonald's every morning for coffee, and they have wifi. I have tried to download their free app, but there is no response. I have started a gmail account. The McDonald's employees don't understand why I have a problem. Many times when I go to Google Play it says, sorry try again later. Just to be clear, I can't do anything. The problem is not just downloading the McDonald's app. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Hi GA Russell! Sorry to hear you are having problems, here is a link to the Motorola Help page for the Moto E 2nd Gen - check out the User Guide PDF. It sounds to me like you are not connected to any wireless network if you are getting that error.
Go to Settings - either touch the gear wheel icon, or swipe down from the top of the screen, and touch on the blue "head" icon at the far right. See if Wireless is turned on, then touch to view available networks, select (e.g. McDonalds) and enter password if required. Some so-called "open" networks like my library and some hotels still require a login through your browser so you may need to open Chrome to complete your sign-in. The phone will remember any wireless network that you have joined previously and reconnect automatically whenever you are in range. If you are new to Android devices, it takes a bit of getting used to. But I hope you do - I love this $10 phone which I am using right now to listen to Pandora. Not registered as a phone, only use it on wifi. If all this is too elementary and does not address your situation, please ignore and accept my apologies. |

I recently got a Moto E 2nd generation, largely because of what I read in this thread about it, and I'm really pleased. I've been using a Moto G but it doesn't have an SD card and I'm always running out of room but I was afraid to try the Moto E because I didn't think it would have the horsepower, but I'm happy to find that I was wrong. It's every bit as nice a device as my first gen Moto G and maybe even nicer.

OK, I have just re-read every post in this thread. I have also printed out and read the full User Guide.
1) How do I put it in airplane mode? 2) I have loaded four music albums onto a memory card, and inserted the card. The unit does not indicate that it recognizes the card. "Listen Now" has gotten me nowhere. How do I get it to play my pre-recorded music? Thanks! |

Pull down the notifications from the top by swiping down then pull down again and you will see settings icons. You then touch the airplane icon for airplane mode.

I push on the airplane icon, and nothing happens.
The airplane has a slash through it. The icon is faint compared to its two adjacent icons. |

Thanks Blossom!
Somehow I think I have put it in airplane mode. Now in the left upper corner is an icon which looks like an SD card with an X in its middle. Is that relevant to my not being able to play my music? By the way, I have not yet plugged in my ear buds. Must they be plugged in for the thing to work. |

OK, now I think that I will need a special app to play the music. I'll try to download that tomorrow.
