I too tend to have a low-ish body temperature and low blood pressure. I can't leap out of bed in the mornings because I have occasionally been known to faint immediately afterwards from postural hypotension. But I rarely feel like leaping out of bed, so that's not really a problem.

Or maybe your making and posting books until 3 a.m. or more has something to do with it?

I get migraine. Not real interesting, huh? I've broken both arms during my life (not at the same time). Still dull, huh.

I don't know what my body temperature is, nor my blood pressure, nor my resting heartbeat. I won't go to the doctor, except possibly unconscious in the back of an ambulance(*).

I can bend both of my big toes all the way back flat with the top of the foot each is attached to.

I'm pretty boring, all up.

Cheers,
Marc
(* In two years I will likely have to start going for the finger-up-the-jacksy test for prostate cancer, since it's so prevalent in my family. Can't say I'm looking forward to that particular visit)

I can see how that might come in handy for a gibbon-tamer, or is that a result of same? (bad Adrian!)

Physiologically, perhaps. In other ways, I'd argue with you there, Marc.

Born in '56, began talking at age 4 and never stopped, much to the distress of my teachers. Have always loved reading, though I am slow. I often have three or four books on the go (based on location).

I have owned a folk cafe for 28 years, and as part of my paraphernalia in the cafe I have for the musicians nail clippers, tuners, picks, capos, strings; and for everyone a dictionary (people argue about the strangest things). In spite of the music, or maybe because of it, there are always books lying around here, including history, recipe, and poetry.

Sadly I am as healthy as a horse, so nothing to complain about.

A long time ago I worked at a custom metalworking shop. Our next door neighbor was an industrial parts distributor. Walk in to the office area, and you saw seats with a coffee table, and copies of The New American Review, Greatest American Short Stories, The Partisan Review...

"The most brilliant rednecks you'll ever meet!" commented a co-worker.

You find them in the oddest places.

I've got a normally low body temperature too. I'm thinking 96.8 but I won't swear to that, since I haven't looked in a while.

I wonder if low body temp makes one tend towards sedentary activities -- such as reading?? Or maybe it IS more a female thing.

Blood pressure not low, however. Doc gives me pills to lower that.

I think the lowest I recall my blood pressure being (in a doctor's office) was 90 over 50. The nurse's comment was, "Well, you won't die of high blood pressure."

My older daughter seems to be trying to put that to the test....

I also have sharp hearing (during one test, I kept responding to a noise not in the test, and finally figured out it was a filmstrip projector down the hall that no one else in the testing room could hear), a sense of smell that over-reacts to everything, especially tobacco smoke and perfume (both make my eyes run, throat hurt, and I gag), and can't stand sweet things. (See "80% cocoa or don't waste my time," elsewhere. ) I like spicy foods, though.

Oh, I never argue with a dog. You think you've got the upper hand, and that you've convinced them that they can't have any because it's "people food", and all of a sudden your sharing half your icecream cone with them
