I'd like this information too and to know how can one indicate in the order form that he/she expects a product from the new batch (since I'm assuming there will still be some old batch remaining in stock). Thanks.

Hi all,

I was playing with the system/framework/framework-res.apk in order to change the standby image... but now my device is quite messed up (I know, I should have been more careful :/)

I found out how to boot in the recovery mode: while the device is off, press the buttons POWER and BACK together for a few seconds.
I tried the "apply update from external storage" option, after I put update.zip (the one from the first post of the topic), but an error occured:

Quote:
Verifying update package...
Installing update...
Checking Update Package Matching assert failed: file_getprop("/tmp/android-info.txt", "board") == getprop('ro.product.board")
E: Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
That sucks. I also tried to push the file using adb (adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk) but the device is not visible by adb...

Any ideas?

EDIT:
After several hours I found a solution: I finally decided to follow the instructions in the T68 recovery thread and I replaced the update.zip and the files in "MX6SL Linux Update\OS Firmware\files\android" with the correct ones from update.zip found in this topic. Seems ok.
Now upgrading OTA...

I installed the latest update, but still Onyx Neo reader goes with that bug that doesn't save the page you're reading and always goes back back to the first page when you reopen it.
This bug always shows when you enhance the font size, it doesn't when you zoom the page.

I made a youtube video to make you see what I mean.

Thanks!

The Skoobe app had become an update. Now it works fine with the T68!

I have another suggestion for improvement: Add a NoRefresh mode.

NoRefresh modes: NoRefresh mode allows full video to display. The screen will suffer from ghosting, but it becomes fully usable as a tablet, without reducing the screen to black and white.

XDA developers managed to enable two versions of NoRefresh mode on the Nook Simple Touch. You can read the full thread here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3&postcount=16

You can watch the Nook Simple Touch playing video games here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP2CVXzpK5s

Essentially, the developer just made some minor adjustments which enabled a version of NoRefresh - guevor calls it "Fastmode". Of course it appears that the display drivers related to FastRefresh are located in the OMAP folder and the T68 uses a Freescale CPU. In theory it should be easier to implement NoRefresh on the T68, as Freescale drivers are widely available.

I also wanted to report that after rooting the T68, the WiFi management begins working properly. WiFi no longer turns off on its own or after sleep. I'm not sure why this might be, but it could relate to improper permissions. Also, I installed a CPU management app and changed both the governor and the I/O scheduler (although changing these shouldn't impact the WiFi management).

I don't think it would require much development work at all, particularly if an APK is used to toggle NoRefresh mode.

Oh my god!

I definitely join you on this request. This, and a merge feature on scribbling notes just as the m92 has, would make this device the ultimate solution to my personal and professional needs.

I thank you for coming with the request here, and I hope Booxtor will at least consider to implement it.

Sorry for my English, keep it up guys!

Request already forwarded to our engineers. I am impressed myself so I will push them to implement it.

Currently we are focused on improvement of annotation features in our reading apps (scribbling, merging, export etc.)

Help with setting up T68

I have a T68. Apparently it is a Lynx. I am not really happy but I am hoping that it is mostly my ignorance and that someone here can help me. I bought the T68 because my Nook Simple Touch couldn't run Moon+ Reader Pro and I wanted all my devices syncing via dropbox. All I want to do on my ereader is select my books and read. I use Calibre Companion and open Moon Reader from there and read. I would like the reader to open up to my book in Moon+ Reader. Currently I have to go through about three or four screens before I can get back to the book I was reading. Here are my major problems that I don't know how to solve.

1) WiFi won't stay on even though I specified to Never turn off. Without wifi my syncing won't work which was my main reason for buying the device.

2) How do I have the T68 open up to my book in Moon+ Reader Pro immediately?

3) If I can't sync then I would consider going back to Cool Reader but I don't know how to update it. I also don't know how to set it up so that my current book cover shows like it did on my Nook. This was one of the big advantages to Cool Reader.

Basically, I just want to turn on my ereader and be at the page I left off from like opening a physical book. This worked on my previous four ereaders but I can't seem to set this up on my T68. It isn't a big request for an ereader. Syncing and book cover pages would be nice pluses.

Any help appreciated.........Jackie

Jackie, Re. 2., when you open your book you have to choose the reader you want. There is on the same pop-up , at the bottom of it, the option to select this reader you are now choosing as the reader by default. Click on that and now the reader will always be Moon Reader Plus. Then in the settings of the device, under User Preferences, you can choose the option "open the last read document" . Now, at startup, the last read book will be automatically opened in Moon Reader, at the position you last were reading.

Re. 1 (and 3 since this is a consequence of 1) that seems to be a problem for some, I have never had it so I cannot help here.

Dear Booxter,

I am from Germany and bought the Onyx M96.
Now I have two questions please.
What is the latest OTA Update Version? It shows me
always 2014-7-21 AS currently version, also after installed this update.
But I think there is a Newer. When I click in search update with ota it shows me
A New Version: 23.07.2014.( for update search i choose english language because with Herman language the onyx didnt find updates). But after downloading and installing the current Version is
Still 21.07.2014....so what is the newest ota international Version and what i do wrong?
The second question is, when you translate the language into german?
Indeed i can choose german at settings > language but the langzage in system and the PDF reader is still english...Plesse translate all things in german in the next time.

Greetings from germany
