"The Love by Numbers" doesn't work for me I guess I could use Love by #s, but that looks tacky. Any ideas?
You can use a dash in one and spaces in the other - then Calibre keeps the separate.

Or, for this particular one, add "the" before "Numbers" - works just as well (better sounding than what either one picked, for me).

If you re-write titles to read in order, abbreviate (LbN01, LbN02, for example) so you can see the actual title on your reader's home page.

I still wasn't able to buy books just after midnight at Kobo (that darn "unexpected error" message again). So I went to bed

Spent the morning running errands. Tried again just after noon and was able to buy books again. Not sure what is going on with Kobo. Why make it difficult for me to spend my money?

The contest coupons were still working when I bought this last batch.

Thanks.

If I am reading part of a series, I usually access it through the series name so there's no problem with the order as Calibre puts them in order on the Sony without having to change the title.

I like your idea to call one of the series Love by the Numbers. Thanks.

I am a bit late for my weekly haul, but here it is anyway. I think I didn't do to much damage.

Fires of Destiny - Barlow, Linda ($1.07) love backlist HR titles
Driven (Northern Waste) - Silver, Eve ($1.07)
MORE THAN FRIENDS (Warrior Series) - TAYLOR, LAURA ($1.07)
Stargazer (Oasis) - Holby, Cindy ($1.07)
KISS OF AN ANGEL - Denison, Janelle ($1.07)
Redesigned (Off the Subject #2) - Swank, Denise Grover ($1.07)
How to Woo a Reluctant Lady - Jeffries, Sabrina ($2.15)

Its like I see a backlist title for .99 cents and I can't resist.

Has anyone read this yet? A ton of reviews saying it's not her usual style... I've only just read my first by her (the Gamble) and just bought a bunch of her Rock Chick's... sitting on the fence on this one.
Own the Wind is consistent with Rock Chicks, Dream Man, Colorado Mountain, and Crime Series. Gamble is part of the Colorado Mountains. The Unfinished Heroes series is more hard-core erotica, and the Ghost series is more light. I haven't read the Fantasyland series, but they seem light.

On sale $.99, Fear of Falling by S.L. Jennings. I've been waiting for this one for awhile, be warned, sounds like a pretty dark read. ETA - also at Kobo $1

On a happy note, I just finished 'Shine Not Burn' by Elle Casey, gave it a solid 4 stars if you've been waffling about it. It was a nice blend of humor, romance and steam IMO.

I would hardly call the unhero series hard core. It's erotic romance but I didn't find it that sexy like say Lora Leigh. It does deal with some gritty stuff but the sex is not hard core. When I think of hard core I think of a book with no plot and nothing but explicit sex scenes. EC titles come to mind but not KA.

Kobo code haul

Thanks to the generosity of some MR members and some last minute posters of codes, I had the time of my life buying books that I might not have tried out. Thank you all so much. I still got all the Anne Stuart ones that I didn't already have. Then I went to Tantor and downloaded an audiobook that I really wanted to listen to for the drive week. I am a two finger typist so I am not going to struggle with putting the prices in but all were used with codes the were 35% to 65% off:

Ice Blue...Anne Stuart
Logan's Outlaw...Elaine Levine
Risk the Night...Anne Stuart
Black Ice...Anne Stuart
On Thin Ice...Anne Stuart.....audiobook from Tantor...loving it
Escape from Paradise...Gwendolyn Field
Shot of Sultry....Mary Beckett
Into the Fire...Anne Stuart
Forbidden...Lisa Clark O'Neill
Honor Unraveled.....Elaine Levine
Chances Are....Christy Reece
The Seduction of Elliot McBride....Jennifer Ashley
Dancing on Coals....Ellen O'Connell
Knight in Black Leather.....Gayle Dayton
Sins and Scarlet Lace.....Lilliana Hart
Midnight Run....Lisa Marie Rice
Operation Endgame....Christi Snow

Only the Anne Stuarts were on my TBR list, the others are adventures into the unknown.

Those can be grand adventures

I installed new-to-me Word 2010 today. It's not as bad as I'd feared, but I don't like the huge context menu you get now when you left click. Uninstalled Word 2002 and put 2010 on my laptop, too. Thankfully I was easily able to readd all of my keyboard shortcuts and autocorrect. I would be lost without them.

Got Dropbox reinstalled (love that the download for them is quick) and Box (which will probably take at least 5 hours, but to be fair I have more files in Box).

Calibre is reinstalled, too. Now I have to add ALL those books I bought

So except for Copy I am all back to normal on my main PC.

Single Wolf Female by Jill Myles (Pocket author) is $0.99.

This is a limited time deal.

Quote:
Alice Savage needs an alpha – any alpha – to prevent her pack from being usurped by the lecherous Roscoe. As a last resort, she signs up for the Midnight Liaisons dating service, never expecting that she’d find the alpha she seeks. She certainly didn’t expect Jackson Wilder, a laid back, sexy-as-sin outsider who claims to be an alpha.

But Alice has a problem that most female wolf alphas don’t — she’s a virgin. And the female alpha of a wolf pack always belongs to a male alpha. Luckily for her, Jackson’s utterly gorgeous and willing to take things slow. But is he alpha enough to help her save her pack…or is he too easy-going to be the man she needs?
