Long day. Thwarted by hardware and failing hard disks, but then the new radio/MP3/iPod player for the car installed painlessly. And Glen Howard made it into the semi-finals. Tomorrow will be better.

It probably depends on your life style. Once you accept that you are going to move house very often, you enter a certain mode of operation. I moved home every 12 to 18 months all through my childhood (I attended 14 different schools in the process), and we moved not just town, or country, but continent , so I am pretty inured to the process. My wife would move every couple of years, I think. I, OTOH, would NEVER move, given a choice. I absolutely loath the process of moving. Our current house isn't perfect, but the neighbourhood is, so I suspect we won't be moving any time soon. Frankly, if we move from here, it will be out of a house, and into a smaller place. And neither of us is ready for that. (Plus, where would we put the server room?)
