I just wish it did BBC iPlayer Radio. Listening live is all very well, but I'd love to access the iPlayer Radio Programmes.

I have not tried to find this, but doesn't TuneIn carry BBC Radio for the Echo? Perhaps not specifically BBC iPlayer Radio, but I am not sure what the difference is.

The difference is that if BBC iPlayer radio was available, one would have access to anything broadcast on BBC radio over the past 30 days or so!

I'd love to be able to say "Alexa, play the latest episode of The Now Show from BBC Radio"

FWIW, I made a request that they add it to the app lineup some time ago. I doubt they'll do it. In the meantime, I use TuneIn to hear the stations and my computer for on-demand programs.

OK Google: Don't put ads in the Google Assistant

While Alexa will happily sell me anything in Prime, at least she doesn't harangue me about it!

To be perfectly fair, I was a bit ticked off that Alexa tried to pitch me Prime Music the last time I asked her to play a song....

Google is such an in your face company with their ads. Their search engine is a joke. You can customize your search and they still ignore that and send you to paid advertisers. Frustrating.

Does anyone know how to turn flash briefings off? I don't want to see any of that in my Alexa app. I use it for streaming music only and it's a pain to have to scroll past them. Here's the screen I got from the card that said customize your flash briefings. I turned off everything that I could see the other day, but they're still appearing. I see it shows "On" underneath get more flash briefings but I can't turn it off.

I'm confused about where you see the Flash Briefings in your Alexa app. I have several turned ON, but I never see them in my Alexa iOS app I only hear them if/when I ask Alexa to play them. They don't show up in my Home page. The only place I see them is in the Settings page like you showed, but there is no reason to go to that page unless I'm changing the settings.

I was just going to post a screenshot, but I don't see them anymore. It was showing me my husband's Flash Briefings and he's deleting them so I don't have to see them. I really wish there was another way that I don't have to see them.

Well I have never ask Alexa for Flash Briefings, so that might be why I have never seen them on the Home page. I much prefer just to go to a web page with news to quickly get an overview, rather than listen to Alexa slowly recite a bunch of garbage I could care less about. And these days the news is filled with a lot of garbage from a lot of wacky individuals, so the less I have to dwell on it the better.

I recently read that Amazon updated the Region/Time Zone interface in the Alexa App. You need to go in and reset it for all your various Echos, Dots, and Taps.

I noticed it now offers a more traditional time zone option - for example, Central Daylight Time (Chicago).
