It's ONLY 91°F, but the heat index is 104°. Oh well, at least there are no thunderstorms on the program. We've had our fill of rain lately.

Guess I'll start mowing the lawn when the temp drops a couple of degrees.

Similar temps here - but with storms now popping up.

Finally gave up on mowing grass myself .... another sign of senior-hood ...

Surprisingly, considering all the rain we've had lately, no precipitation is forecasted for the next few days. Even more surprising, considering that there usually isn't a nickel's worth of difference between the forecasts for Durham and Chesapeake.

I did cut the grass yesterday, but it was still quite damp, despite having had no rain the past couple of days and despite the high temperatures.

The high temperature on Thursday was 93°F and we had sun through hazy skies. It was very humid and there was no breeze. We're getting pop-up thunderstorms too, but they all managed to miss us.

Friday is supposed to be pretty much the same, with a slightly better chance that one of those thunderstorms will find us. And then the forecast is calling for 4 or 5 days of rain. We really don''t need more rain.

I'd totally take 16 (C I assume, F would be far enough below freezing where I'd be shocked if it were rainy) and rainy over this crap (84F feels like 90F)

Woke up Friday to learn we have a flash flood warning now through Sunday 2am. It was 91 and very humid while I was out in the afternoon. Later we had a thunderstorm. Forecast is for about 80s Saturday but probably humid with more rain. Cloudy this Sunday.

It's cool for the time of year. It should be 23C, but this last week we've had temperatures of 18C to 21C. It's been mostly cloudy, towards the evening it get sunny. Yesterday there were a couple of showers. Today will be similar to yesterday; max temp of 20C, possibly a couple of showers and mostly cloudy.

We've had a cool couple of days. Saturday's high was only 76°F, but that was right after midnight. The afternoon temperature was a pretty constant 72 to 73, with cloudy skies and a good breeze.

Today we reached 79° under cloudy skies. It was humid but breezy enough to be comfortable. There are scattered showers in the area, but they've been light. Higher temperatures and heavy rains should move in tomorrow and last pretty much for the week.
